I visited the cemetery with my granddaughter on Easter Monday. It was so beautiful and peaceful.
I was walking down the steps of the wisteria walk and it would be nice if there were handrail on at least one side to make it safer for the elderly. I’m 75 and like something to hold onto going downstairs.
Another thing I noticed a few weeds around. My father worked as a gardener at the cemetery and would “turn over in his grave” to see this.
On the whole I felt at peace there. My 15 year old granddaughter loved it too

Beautiful place, my great grandparents are there, emailed them to find out cost of renewal and they were very nice to tell me when lease up who holds lease and cost. Which allows me to incase not renewed be able to do it for them in future. Also gave me cost to make it a forever lease hoping in time be able to do that for my great nanny and poppy. Thank you staff for being very helpful so I can ensure there rest place stays there.

Grew up next to here. Every weekend at high school drinking with the bum crew by the pond.
Best years of my life probably.
But nearly 20years on, this place is incredible. Seriously considering a reunion with them all before we become full time residents. ;)
It did come with its hiccups. The gates were about to close basically dark. Car battery was dead. No lights left on. Made no sense.
Then I remembered. THE DUCK!
The wolf in sheeps clothing... TBC.

Centennial Park is more just a Cemetery. There are lots of hidden gardens and reflection pools for quiet contemplation.
Nice place to take some time and have a quiet stroll
Dogs are allowed on lead.
Shiny new Wildflowers Café. Very professional staff and nice coffee.

This cemetery has been designed to provide us the place to give our loved ones peace and tranquillity.
Thankyou for your advice and assistance when we were making a decision on where to leave our mothers ashes.

Despite the fact there are dead people everywhere this is a lovely place. My 5yo loves checking out cemeteries, he particularly liked the stream with bridges you could cross over and the poppies in the military area. When we were in a children's section he stated that he was glad he wasn't any of these children.
He was also disappointed because there weren't any bee hives.
We've found out where some relatives are to visit next time.

The photos I posted were from a Sala exhibition, which is a wonderful idea and way to engage with the community. But we only found 7-12, and there was no evident way to a) get a guide from an office or stand or B) snap a QR code to take us somewhere. I think a clear office or reception for non-ceremony visitors would be ideal. We might have had a "boy look" but, we did walk around a lot.

The place was nice but the staff was so rude and un accomodating. They told relatives to leave as one turned up too many and they were told they couldnt watch from the hallway. The staff from natural funerals tried to reason with them and even the priest was shocked with the way they conducted themselfs. Natural funerals however and the priest did a wonderful job and l would recomend them to anyone.

Thank you to all at Centennial Park Cemetery. We used Natural Funerals recently for my mothers funeral and the location and staff were excellent. The water feature in the Mawson chapel was stunning and we appreciated how quiet the chapel was. Thank you once again.

I love this place. Much of my family and many of my friends are permanent residents here. I have my own plot, I like the upgraded areas so much. BUT. It absolutely pains me to give an honestly bad review The General Manager has refused to provide proper assistance with my late Father's memorial, and will not be moved on the issue, not to mention it took over a year to move his ashes from 'Contemplation Court' to his proper, final resting place! It seems that when punitive policy and money issues arise (I had plenty to sort the issue out, but your policy takes a disrespectful precedence! UNREAL!) the administration WILL put immediate family last. I enjoy the place, but am bitterly disappointed. My grief, years later, is sometimes overshadowed by such an unpleasant experience. Bad show.

The lack of public toilets was problematic especially when visiting with older people. When we finally found toilets that were open (many were locked Easter Sunday) they were far from clean and the door would not lock.

Where do I start.maintenance and security is appalling. My young brother has been buried there over 20 years and only now has the grass on his grave site Grown somewhat.it was so bad. & unmaintained.as they only mowed the grass.not supply or water it.we finally had to install our own grass.over the years heavy machinery. I.e. Bull-dozers etc going over my brothers and now the last 6 yrs my mothers grave.was damaging the grass we installed & watered.not giving it a chance to grow.and no matter how many times you reported this to head office.nothing was ever done about it.always fell on deaf ears.it’s so disappointing and typical of Centennial. Park cemetry.and even worse.my mothers 6 yr grave -site is still UnLevel & sunken in.looking unsightly and dangerous for people to walk on. CPC take no pride in the cemetery except for the few selected areas that are immaculately maintained.furthermore there is no security.it is unsafe at times to be in there alone.as anyone is allowed to wander, ride, drive.walk their dogs.through.that has no business in there.e. G.just today at lunch time
x2 men with backpacks were cycling throughout the whole cemetry.eyeing off every grave site isle as they rode thru.initially I didn’t see them coming past my position.they were dressed in dark clothing. (black). It was 31 degrees.one man in his 50’s.the 2nd much younge possibly in his 30’s. I was alone & had just left my car keys/ phone on the ground next to our grave-sites locates near the road. & I walked 30 metres away to fill up my bucket of water my family memebers’ grave-sites. I only noticed these x2 men.as I was returning from the tap in the next isle.they had just past my grave sites.looking down each lane of graves as they rode. I saw them ride throughout every road in the cemetry.
I contacted head office & spoke with Sue.who quite flippantly and dismissively stated she would send someone out to ask them what they’re doing.a rather odd comment to make? She asked what section I was in.then cut cut off the conversation.quite quickly and rudely after taking my phone no. (Incase someone would call me back?).
I waited awhile.but Ofcourse.no-one was sent out.and no-one called.eventually I left. WELCOME TO CENTENNIAL PARK CEMETRY! ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!

If I could rate a zero I would. My great Grandparents plots were removed and melted down. What a disrespectful way to treat a member of the lighthorse, because he chose to rest next to his wife. When I asked after their remains they wouldn't tell me. I was trying to renew their plots or find a new resting place for them but now I have no idea where they are.

Every service that I have been to here is always dignified and treated with the utmost respect and care. My Poppa is interred in the soldiers section. A sad yet beautiful place.

I come here now and then to spend a few minutes with my mum and dad.
I've many relatives here. The gardens are beautiful. This section is the Naval War Memorial and this is how the cemetary commemorate deceased ADF personnel on special occasions like Anzac Day

It's unusual to give a five star rating to a place where people mourn and weep; however, what I am giving a rating is the place itself. It's massive, and we were lost when we went there, but we were able to find the spot right away because of the signs. The plants are well looked after, and the place is well-maintained.
