Ceduna Oyster Barn reviews
55 Only place my mother ate oysters and enjoyed them! Such an impressive menu
for such an unsuspecting place. Would come back to Ceduna for just this place!
Nice food, Fast service very good service.tries squid, fish and oysters. They where very good. One should try their wood fire pizzas in evening
Only opportunity to get deep fried oysters in Ceduna we had those and whiting filets good service and the food was was very good
Poor service. In spite of the menu saying fish and chips come with tartare sauce, I did not get any. When asked I was told to pay $1.50. Way overpriced the overall meal but tasted good. Perhaps the service just left a bad taste in my mouth.
Brilliant place! We decided to stop here for lunch on our motorbike trip across Australia but unfortunately being a Monday they were closed for fish and chips, however the owners had their wood fire pizza oven going and made us one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had! The dough was their own fantastic recipe made fresh on the day and just the right amount of topping with well chosen fresh Ingredients. Thank you, we’ll be back.
I don't normally leave reviews but I had lunch here today and it was amazing, I'm an interstate truckie and it's hard to find good food on the road, the flake was fresh as could be and the chicken chilli con carne loaded fries was amazeballs!
Definitely need to stop for a feed at the ceduna oyster barn on your travels.
10 out of 10 for me.oysters Kirkpatrick and oysters Kirkpatrick with cheese
just divine.
Grandchildren got fish n chips also fantastic.
Got the family basket and it was really nice. Took the salad instead of soft drinks and the owners were more than willing to swap the crab sticks for the prawns instead. Ordered oyster as well however wouldn’t recommend as it tasted really grainy and had a bitter aftertaste. It was disappointing because all the other reviews were raving about the oysters.
I wish I took a photo of the food, but it was that good I forgot. Ordered half dozen of the mornay oysters, got down the road and turned round for another dozen - they were that good! Thanks guys, so yum!
Very friendly staff, Beautiful fresh oysters and the fish and chips are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend I will definitely come back.
Great food, and quick and friendly service. The fish batter was so crispy and tasty. The fish was perfectly cooked. The chips were impossible to stop eating and the Oyster's Kilpatrick were some of the best we had in the whole of our Eyre Peninsula trip! It's well worth the trip out of town to stop at, they even have a nice little dining room around the back if it's too hot for the rooftop dining experience! Yup they've put chairs and tables on the top of the place, and it offers great views of the Ceduna coastline!
Great spot for a break ahead or after crossing the Nullarbor. The owner is really nice and added a mobile wood-fired pizza trailer outside. We have proudly copied the pineapple fritters onto our family menu. See you soon!
Bad fish & chips. Very oily and dry. Didn’t like it. I have had much better fish & chips before. Defo not recommended.
Brilliant fish and chips, the piece of flake was thick and good size. The batter was light and crunchy and the chips crunchy. Well done, would have to be the best I've ever had.
Breakfast and Lunch all in one we waited 2 years to come back and it was absolutely awesome. Staff fantastic
Amazing place. Fresh oysters. Very friendly and helpful young girl taking the order. Was kind enough to accommodate our request and she asked the right questions to help us order the best options. Don’t miss if you are in Cedunaso fresh and delicious we also had the rice (perfectly cooked) scallops and prawns (great size and so good) and the salad was great too!
If you like oysters, this is your only real option. Don't spend heaps in town at a restaurant for what is probably frozen fish, just come here don't be afraid to treat yourself and savour every slurp. My personal favourites are the ginger and wasabi.
We we're here 2 years ago and decided to come back for a second serving, their crumbed flake is to die for so is their prawns and calamari well worth the drive from Gippsland in Victoria.
I had my standard order of a battered fish (Whiting) pack.plus scallops.
Everything was excellent. The batter was light and crunchy. The chips slightly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. The scallops were moist where they can often be quite dry.
The store is easy to drive past so (heading out of town) you need to keep an eye open to your right once past the OTR (BP, Hungry Jack etc) on your left.
Bough a whiting wrap. It was huge, but mostly salad with a tiny piece of fish hiding in it. Menu said garden salad, but had heaps of coriander in it (who puts coriander in a garden salad?). Not worth the $15 at all.
