Cathay Court Chinese Restaurant

We were extremely pleased with the takeaway from Cathay Court.
Fried chicken wings with honey were delicious. The mixed entree is a great option. The special fried rice rounded out our meal nicely. We'll definitely be back!

Great portion sizes, great tasting food. Not necessarily traditional, but great tasting nonetheless.

Got a menulog pick up order. Found a fly in the food halfway through eating!

Wonder how bad the sanitary condition is back in the kitchen!

Not only was the food absolutely delicious, we asked for a modification to a menu item we ordered. They gave us the modification without question.

Cannot stress enough how good the food was. Ordered through Uber Eats and it was delivered hot and timely!

These guys are the bomb!

Always good Takeaway, no dine in service anymore. Constant stream of Uber Eats drivers while waiting to pick up my phone order.

Driver delivered to wrong address, hung up on me when I contacted him. Restaurant refused to help me. Absolutely disgusting experience and I will never use them again.

Entree Sate Chicken, chicken nice and soft but sate sauce really awful, like a clingy gel. Needs better recipe. "Special" fried rice bland.

Wow.this take away has the best tasting food I've had in a long long time.
I am so sick of trying to find good Chinese food and I'm always so disappointed.
But I just travelled 50 minutes to buy this take away and I'm so delighted, absolutely beautiful, mouth watering food.
Truly you would be crazy to pass up on this authentic Chinese food.

Garlic prawns were really big, and very tasty.
Chicken cashew nut was succulent with plenty of cashews.
Special Fried Rice was fantastic.
Mongolian Beef was very tender.
You MUST visit this place.

First time order take away from menulog delivery, and waited for 1.5 hour, still not delivered. And no one answer the phone.

Never received our meal instead had four other dishes we never ordered tried to call and advise owner she was so rude she kept repeating you not ring here you not ring here it not my fault.will never order from this restaurant again totally disgusted in what customer service I recieved

Awesome food. The owner is so nice she gave me a free bottle of water. She knew it’s warm outside. Great people

Just ordered through Menolog the food was very bland and tasteless unfortunately. I read through your reviews and ordered accordingly, disappointed with the quality of this food.

We have been coming to Cathay Court for many years and the food and service never disappoint. The new take away shop is simply amazing! The decor is modern and simplistic. The Sweet and Sour pork, honey chicken, garlic chicken, satay Combination and hokkien noodles, chicken and corn soup are some of our families favourite dishes. Wendy is so extremely hard-working and her passion for cooking comes through in her dishes. We are so so grateful to have Cathay Court in our neighbourhood.

Filthy dirty place food all over the kitchen floor. Slow service 45 min for 3 dishes to busy doing Uber orders first. Bad language coming from kitchen.

After over 26 years of Cathay Court Restaurant/take away business success, the owners have now chosen a very clever, new direction, perhaps nudged by the Pandemic, with face masks being required frequently.
Their front Shop 3 Look is now White, keeping their original name.
So photos will follow.
To be clear on new Appearance and focus on TAKE AWAY.
My family stand by the Quality of their food.
No more reviews on a past retro Decor, some did not find to their taste.

They will give you a good deal and treat you, as the valuable customer you are.

I ordered omelette with KING PRAWNS, paying extra for it, through UberEats.
Firstly, the dish they gave me did not have KING PRAWNS. They were a quarter of the size usually supplied by other restaurants.
Secondly, I could not taste the egg in the omelette. More flour than eggs. Or whatever substitute they used. A waste of time chewing it. Threw the dish in the bin where it belonged. Total disappointment.
The other 2 dishes were okay. So giving it 2 stars.
NEVER ORDERING FROM YOUR RESTAURANT AGAIN!

Shabby environment & poor presntation little to no ambience. Service adequate. Food poor. I ordered a Satay Fillet steak as a take away via Uber Eats that way discusting because meat was spoiled.

Outdated, tacky and dirty.
The food was ok, service was friendly but sadly the place was very outdated, tablecloths were stained and menus were grubby.
But disappointing as most places are now passionate about cleanliness due to pandemic rules.

Restaurant needs a good clean, breaching more than a few codes, and some old decor could be removed. Food was ok. Had take away.
