2 We chose to stay at the Carrieton Caravan Park specifically because it is community owned and run. Located in the Old school grounds the Old school House and teachers cottage offer fabulous accommodation facilities.
We stayed in the park with our camper, unpowered - $20 for 2.
Powered sites are available.
The amenities are spotless and modern.
There is a laundry as well as a camp kitchen (with great bbq), a lounge with woodburner. There is a dump point in the park.
Carrieton is a small town - just 46 pop. But there is a well stocked community general store selling fuel as well (good prices too).
The refurbished pub a short walk from the park offers great meals and a chilled atmosphere.
We booked in for one night and stayed 5.
Close to many other points of interest.
We'll def go back!
