It is hard to give a detailed review. I purchased a meat pie which was really nice. The view was quite good over looking the fishing boats.

Average service, order incorrect,
Nowhere as good as it used to be,
Disappointing over all.

Nice spot for a picnic or play in the sand or exploring really there is lots to do here if you come prepared, there is a small general shop on location with cool staff.

Best pies ever! Don't pass this unassuming shop by. The rosemary and lamb pie is unbelievable. Also well positioned beside the bay

Definitely recommended - Chicken and Leek pie (tasty with generous portions of meat).

This is one of the worst places iv ever been too charged my friend $71 for $40 worth of food. Kicked me out for having a service animal. I have An emotional support bird as I have high anxiety in public settings. I was made too feel like I did wrong and was told too leave because it's a bird and not a dog.

Was told we couldn't buy more than 1 serving of wedges, 1 per customer even though we were all individual customers.

Then our chips were put in the bay Maree for up too 15 minutes they were coif i could give this place no stars i would.ld.

Just wanted to correct the review by Amy brown…you were NOT charged 71 dollars for 40 dollars of food, the cashier hadn’t rung off the previous sale so when your order was added it showed 71 dollars HOWEVER that was corrected IMMEDIATELY so you DID NOT pay 71 dollars for 40 dollars of food…As for your food sitting in the warmer, that would be because NONE of your group bothered to come back and check if it was ready, and we DONT offer a carpark delivery service…if you intend to post a review at least tell the TRUTH. Have a wonderful day.

Always a great place to go to get papers, ice creams, milk & some small grocery items.

Great little store by the beach. The woman serving was friendly. I've read a lot of good reviews about their food and bought some chips - by far the best value - and best tasting - chips I've had in a long time. And they have Sarsparilla! I don't even remember the last take away store I saw with Sarsparilla! Next time I go there I hope it's with a bigger appetite so I can try out one of their pies that everyone has been raving about!

RE: John Ahern comment I was in the shop at the time and he failed to mention that HIS behaviour was disgusting he needs to stop complaining about EVERYTHING. Seems he can’t be pleased wherever he goes. GOOD LUCK JOHN

Make sure to stop for a feed of
Fish and chips. Beautifully cooked fresh food with great friendly service. We'll worth the short drive from the highway.

One of south Australia’s hidden gems.hands down the best pies/pasties available, made on premises and always fresh. The fish and chips here is amazing and the value for money is second to none.keep up the good work guys, your a credit to the region

Great Shop for high quality fast/takeaway food. Pastries are a Specialty. The shop offers a good range of packaged snacks, icecreams, softdrinks and some grocery items. Self serve fuel supplies are offered at the cheapest prices in the Limestone coast. Fishing enthusiasts are also well catered for.

The best homemade pies I have tasted. The steak pie was delicious and the lobster pie was awesome.

Nice food n customer service, beautiful scenery by beach side, I recommend give a try with locally prepared sea food

Great friendly service that do meals like schnitzel packs, burgers & more. Lots of yummy hot chips we got to feed our family of five & that was just $5 worth

Don't let the outside of the shop fool you - their homemade pies were amazing, and there were an interesting variety.
But don't take my word for it - I went to the nearby Tantanoola Caves afterwards where another tourist was asking the local parks guide for suggestions on where to go, and the parks guide also recommended the pies at the Carpenter Rocks Shop as the best in the region.
They accept EFTPOS and also have a range of drinks and other supplies. There is also an unmanned petrol station next door.

I have never try a fish and chip like this before. Wonderful experience, delicious food, it make my day.
