Captain Chicken & Seafood Pooraka

I went back to try Captain Chicken at Pooraka after leaving a friend's place and it was great!

The service is fast and have a friendly staff which was great! Our burgers this time were full of flavour.amazing and chips would've been great if it wasn't for too many tiny bits.but they weren't oily like last time!

We'll try again next time we're near the place.we always love hot chips!

I have to commend the crew at Captain Chicken. We preordered a massive order for pick up on Christmas Eve for our church lunch. 12 roasted chickens and 8 jumbo hot chips. The food was ready on time, it was delicious and everyone had enjoyed the food. Thank you for feeding us and doing it so fabulously!

The chips are horrible. If you don’t care about the quality of the most basic item, I would not recommend eating anything from here

Called in for simple chips and gravy, disappointed to say the least.
Chips were average, Gravy was lumpy and was charged extra for Eftpos, must be the last place in Adelaide that does that. Just like all the other reviews the quality has dropped significantly since the change of ownership. Hopefully the new owners can find their groove and get the customers coming back.

Bring back colonel Sam. Was going to him for many years and tonight I tried out the new captain chicken and seafood. Won’t be going there again. Chips were warm and sloppy with no salt or chicken salt. The chiko roll was over cooked.

Food is a definite down grade from what colonel sams cooked up. The chips were soggy, the batter on the fish was soggy. I'll be looking for a new chip shop to go to. Massive disappointment in such a short time.

Definitely not the same shop this used to be.
Chips used to be the kind of chips you’d travel for. Now they’re just run of the mill chips with very little salt. The burger was among the most average I’ve had. Patty seemed as though the hot plate was only warm. No sear on it at all. Made for a soggy, strange tasting burger with no sauce at all. Disappointed and won’t be returning.

Went to Colonel Sams today and didn’t realise management had changed! We are super disappointed with the quality of our food. Unfortunately we won’t be returning again, has been our go to place for years: (

The owner of this company the man he is very loud and abrupt I would hate to be the wife or work for him I will never buy again from here

Colonel Sam's is our go to chicken shop in the north. Always fresh & hot, never greasy or oiley, just good honest food & very generous portion sizes too.

Normally the chips taste amazing golden and crunchy, for the first time ever the chips last night where very disappointing.
