I got to try Captain Chicken at Pooraka driving to visit a friend's place.

Even though service is wonderful and have a friendly staff I didn't like the food.as the beef burger didn't have much flavour, the battered fish was abit too oily and chips too.

Hopefully trying a different location it'll be better!

Lovely service. Polite staff with a smile. Fresh food.never a miss. Very pleasing every time. We.order and pick up. Food is always ready in the time frame suggested. Always busy.which is a good sign.but they never let you down with freshness or your order. Highly recommended.

Used to order multiple times a week but have since raised the prices on Uber eats to ridiculously high. $20 cheaper on door dash but never available to order. No reply when messaging the FB page.

Unable to have both legs as a half a chicken purchase, unless you pay more, no other shop does this, disappointing to say the least

Worst chips I've eaten. Rang and wanted to order a family deal, was told they didn't do family deals only to find on arrival they did.

Captain Chicken & Seafood In Port Adelaide fresh and delicious chickens, seafood and salads you have to try and best customer service.

I really like this new chicken shop option in the heart of Port Adelaide. The premises are really near and tidy but more importantly the food is very fresh and tasty. The hotdogs on fresh sesame seeded buns are a particular stand out. Hot chips are great too!

Wow! $14 for chicken schnitty chips and salad, and it’s enough to feed 2! Always friendly fast service and top quality food

Ordered the butterfish and chips pack with salad. Absolutely bloody delicious! Hands down the best butterfish I’ve had in a long time, juicy and fall apart tender. The chips were cooked perfectly and the salad was fresh and the dressing not overpowering. Price to food ratio was also excellent for the amount of food I got. And the lady that served me was professional and polite. The tartare sauce (which I believe is made in house) is fantastic, not too strong and complements the fish perfectly.

If I had to nitpick the meal… the only thing I can think of is perhaps also add a slice of lemon to complement the fish. Not that I think the fish needed it, just would have been a nice addition.

Anyway thank you so much for a wonderful experience! I can tell you take great pride in the food you cook and I wish you all the very best and continue providing quality meals and service.

Despite having really enjoyed the food quality here, I was dismayed to see staff not abiding to mask rules. Especially given the nature of their businesses in food preparation.

I don't enjoy wearing masks either, yet I have to take into account family members who are at risk moreso than myself.

Given this is currently the law, very disappointing some people are that selfish.

I come here a few times a week. The food is always on point, value is great and the staff super nice. Highly recommend!

Disgusting chicken and chips bought tonight the chicken was dry and had a weird smell, the seasoning inside the chook was black and dried it was disgusting. Be careful buying from this store

Worst takeaway chips in history!
Ordered extra large chips & they were ALL GREEN & MOULDY.
Surely they would've seen their colour when placed in fryer & after taken out on tray. But they still packed them up & handed them over.you wouldn't feed this rubbish to an animal!

I love this place. Regular customer at least once a week. Best fish and chips in the area, beautiful Salads made daily by the owner, staff always friendly and helpful. Best value for money

Tasty Fish and Potato Salad. Both very good value. The fish was Butter Fish. Only 5 dollars +. Potato Salad was close to 5 and there was a lot of it
