Captain Chicken and Seafood

My wife and I came from Wallaroo to have Christmas with our friend. Our friend ordered 2 chickens a potato salad and a coleslaw.
The potato salad was the worst I have ever had. Was it made by a child? The chicken reasonably tasty left a bad taste in the mouth after we were told they were $24 each. I have recommended to our friend in future get you chickens and salads from Golden Rooster.

Ordered a piece of Flake. It was soggy with water throughout and pretty disgusting. Rang up and let the owner know. He said " sorry about that" but that was it. Fish can be such a hit and miss. So last time I will order there!

Ordered online, and picked up. Ordered a chicken yiros + cheese and received a whole BBQ chicken instead. When called up and explained the mix up, was just told it just comes up as "chicken". No apology, no offer to resolve, just a "owner can call you tomorrow".
Also ordered 4x fish (2x battered, 2x grilled) but all came as battered.
I understand half of the mix up may be due to it not printing accurately, but then that's an issue that needs to be addressed. Poor service, especially with no apology.

Picked up my pre order (nearly $ 100.00) and didn’t realise that I was given someone else’s order. When I went back to the shop to complain they made no effort to resolve the dispute, no apology and took no responsibility and expected me to place my order and pay again. Never been treated so rudely and unprofessionally.

Great salads. The other stuff is probably nice (but I just haven't bought any of it).:)

Chips Soggy and Under Cooked! Quite disappointed. Second time it's happened and will not return! Only around the corner from home so it wasn't the travel time and wasn't in a plastic bag - so generally soggy chips.

Chicken was moist with a nice seasoning, chips were hot and generous in size. Friendly staff too.

I come here almost every Sunday for our regular hot chip lunch. The food is always fresh, tasty and hot, and there is always lots of it! The staff are always friendly

Read all the owners reply's. They have never never never said please call.or come back and lets review your concerns. It seems they are always right and the customer is wrong

Amazing customer service and to add on the food is amazing and very fulling. Their AB packs with the sauces taste amazing. Definitely recommend!

WARNING WARNING#####We went to pay for our $9 chips and the eftpos said $9.15 then the girl said its a surcharge. Yes it's only. 15 cents but that's not the price. So to all that pay more YOU ARE ALL JUST GETTING RIPED OFF I DON'T CARE IF THERE FOOD IS NICE STOP RIPPING OFF THE PUBLIC. WE ARE MEANT TO BE CASHLESS SOON. MMM NOT FOR ME IF IM GOING TO HAVE A SURCHARGE ON THINGS. IM NOT A SHEEEP!

Have tried here a couple times and didn't find this out till tonight, they're are still charging a surcharge for paying by card, which in today's world where they want contactless payment instead of cash is wrong, I'm not paying extra for paying by card, it adds up to quite a bit if your not careful, was happy to walk out tonight after finding this out as I had no cash on me only to notice the staff having a laugh about it, showed me the lovely level of professionalism they have. Will not being going back.

Absolutely appalled at the lack of professionalism of the staff tonight yelling at and abusing the young lady. It's never acceptable to abuse and yell at customers. All she did was complain that the phone kept ringing out. If you can't handle being busy, that's on your staff and business and not the customer. Losing it in front of a packed shop speaks for itself.
To the bloke that yelled at the lady while giving her order, man up and control your emotions.
