Caffe Belgiorno reviews
59Traveling from Adelaide, stopped to have dinner, figured you can’t go wrong with Italian. Wrong! The vego pasta was plain gross and ultimately inedible. Even the garlic bread was super weird and unpleasant. This was a massive disappointment!
Fantastic restaurant with a lovely saloon vibe. Food was of the highest quality and was served in great time. Prices are very affordable. Would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone passing through Mount Gambier.
We all really really enjoyed our means here. They added cheese to the herb and garlic bread and our daughter who is extremely fussy ate every mouthful of it. The BBQ pizzas delicious, the BBQ chicken calzone with there magical cream BBQ sauce- to die for, I want the recipe. I think it's the first time in history the 5 of us didn't leave 1 crumb on the plates. Staff are super friendly.
Slowest service I've ever received. Food came almost 1 hour after we ordered and we ordered just pizza and pasta, nothing more. Doubt if I would ever consider going again. 2 stars for good ambience and parking.
Was in town with the family just for 1 night & didn’t feel like cooking. Got delivered a Meatlovers pizza, marinated chicken roll & fettuccini amore. Got to say… this food is good, really good! Reasonably priced, fresh ingredients, cooked well & quick with delivery. Would highly recommend.
Great pizza and the location and building are amazing in their own right. Well priced too and quick!
Disappointing service and food. Pasta sauces were overly sweet and calzone undercooked (mushrooms were still raw). Could only eat a few mouthfuls.
When we ate here in 2019, the food was great, not sure what's changed since then, but the sauces were definitely not that sickly sweet.
Very rustic looking venue. Recommended by a colleague. I had a really tasty calzone that was very reasonably priced. Would definitely busy again.
Spent two nights in Mt Gambier for the long weekend, had dinner here for both those nights. Absolutely loved everything - food, wine, ambiance. Will definitely come back! ️
Has been a go-to place when visitors to the region are in town, even though the place can be insanely noisy, the food is usually good and the service ok.however, this weekend, we were constantly pestered by wait staff, we were trying to relax at the end of the meal, with some of our party still drinking their coffees yet wait staff continually interrupted us, asking what they could remove from the table and on occasion took glasses which were still being used. One of our party requested a replacement glass which was delivered and let's say, not politely placed on the table. I suspect the staff are told to 'look' busy but my guests and I were not impressed with the way we were hassled. There were plenty of vacant tables at this time. The food was ok except for a calzone that came out resembling a pie floater as it was swimming in sauce. It was requested that it be put on another plate, which was done however when returned to the table the diner was chastised for not requesting the sauce on the side. Will no longer be a place where I take visitors.
Beautiful Italian restaurant located in an old flour mill. The Pasta dishes, wood fired pizzas and Calzone are excellent and we'll priced. Generous serves and good service
We have been regular customers for ever. Belgiornos is 100% the best place to go for Italian in Mt Gambier. It's Cafe style.no table service but you can BYO wine and get yourself a great pizza/ pasta fix.or live large and get amongst a porco filetto (eye fillet steak) or filled zucchini for a flavourful & filling vege hit. We love it here, as do the rest of the town.
I'm up for giving it another. Nice atmosphere but the hype surrounding the calzone is lost on me.
Been there once and food was ok, took a little longer than expected but overall the drinks where good and the cinema next to it is convenient.
Ate here a few times while working Mount Gambier. Had several great meals, Oven baked salmon was my favourite, fillet? (Steak with Seafood) pictured, there are good Non Pasta or Pizza options (I don’t do wheat). Beautiful old exposed timber of the building creates a unique atmosphere, friendly and super efficient staff. Only complaint was no table service.
Mat2021, Ate here again tonight, left full & happy again!
Awesome venue. Had the Anti pasta share plate and then an entree pasta and ice cream. Everything was extra tasty and pasta sauce nice and fresh. The chef even prepared a special vegan salad for us. Perfect.
Went for dinner on a Thursday night. They were busy but we were given a table (hadn’t booked). We ordered simple pizzas and they were delicious. Glad we were able to take the left overs home. The venue itself was extremely stuffy. Left quickly simply due to the fact it was so warm it made us uncomfortable. Overall though would order the food for take away again
1st visit Amazinnnngg steak. Customer service was fab.
2nd visit we were placed by a table where hand sanitizer for servers was places along with the salt and pepper etc. Kept getting interrupted and felt like we were placed in a bad position even though we had prebooked and were several available tables elsewhere.
Ordered calzone.it was still frozen on the inside the cheese wasn't even luke warm, the bacon was raw and it looked like poached chicken.
I asked them to take it back and I didn't want anything else. There was no apology or no offer of a refund.
1 star is generous.
Frozen store bought pizza bases that taste like pancakes with the amount of sugar in them.
But I guess that's as good as it gets in Mt Gambier.
Serving size was generous and overall a good experience. 4 alcohol drinks, 2 serves of garlic bread dozen oysters and a main meal each for 4 people was under $150.well priced
