25Exceptional in all areas.how to make bacon and eggs something different, check their spreads out.
Hole in the wall type place. Great coffee and possibly the best toastie I've ever had. Ham and cheese with picked and the Mustard dipping sauce was the magic tonic. I'd go back for that alone! Must try.
Best coffee in Clare Valley, best Toasties in the Clare Valley. Great service by a passionate team of people.
I’ll be coming here every time I am up this way.
The attention to detail here is really noticeable, the coffee we had every-time from various Baristas over the weekend was super consistent and simply amazing.
Delicious food, most of the time when I order toasties they're very similar but this exceeded my expectations. Everything was really nice there, highly recommend this place.
Nice place for a snack or coffee.they did mix up my order on his occasion however once my bacon and egg door stop arrived it did not disappoint. So I also went there again the following day.
Breakfast here this morning. Gorgeous croissant and coffee and savoury doorstop. Excellent service, good ambience.
If you’re looking for a bacon and egg breakfast you won’t regret trying their doorstop. It was seriously the best I’ve ever had. Whoever put this combination together certainly knows a lot about blending flavours. We asked for no BBQ sauce as often it’s over done but when this wasn’t possible we just went with it and we were so glad we did it with mustard on the side it was nothing short of a tastebud sensation of the most excellent sort. Great coffee and lovely friendly service too…. We’ll done guys!
Great cafe in the heart of Clare. Staff were very friendly, coffee was amazing and you could tell the banana bread was home made. A very warm and cosy feel to the place with the nice wood interior. Will definitely be back!
I think I have found the “BEST” Ham and Cheese Croissant I have ever had
Small was enough to feed the whole cafe and very tasty
I ordered the Ham and Cheese Toastie also but that went as a traveller
Nice coffee also
A jewel in the Clare crown
Decent food, a little pricey- but much of the valley is getting this way.so prices are consistent with the area. A little too busy on weekends for my liking- again not a fault of the cafe - just keep that in mind.
Absolutely great place for breakfast, ordered a “bacon & egg doorstop” and it was perfect. Solid 10
Funky setting, friendly staff, awesome coffee and the ham and cheese toasty was just unbelievable! Definitely recommend if you’re in Clare Valley
Great atmosphere for that café, mainly croissant and different types of toasts are available for breakfast.
Good to have the ability to charge phones and laptops, handy when travelling
Amazing coffee and food, supported by a very friendly and welcoming team who all provide great customer service. Thank you Cafe 1871!
Great food and wonderful coffee. Staff were welcoming and we were super happy with our decision to pop in. Highly recommend ham and cheese croissants and doorstep egg and bacon sandwiches.
Great coffee, awsome staff, nice window booth where you can eat and look up the clare main Street, you can also get a coffee from the foot path window, they do toasted sandwiches salad and cakes too
A cute little place for a local coffee shop that was quite busy, unfortunately a very limited range of food other than toasted sandwiches, the food was delicious though and we throughly enjoyed our experience here. Would recommend having some other items on offer though.
Great vibe. Great food.
Felt a little expensive, but worth it for the atmosphere and customer service.
Coffee and chocolate brownie were quite nice but the staff couldn't have been more unfriendly if they had tried. We will not be back.
Disappointed. Lots of high ratings below. The cafe's operation is likely limited due to COVID restrictions. However. I have coffee quite black with little milk and sugar. This coffee was the most sour of all compared to roadhouses and isolated cafes coming across the Nullarbor and in Adelaide. The toasted sandwich contained quite a bit of grissly bacon fat. Muffin was ok. Staff very friendly.
The coffee and muffin yesterday from The Little Red Grape Co.in Sevenhill were perfect.
