Burra Motor Inn and Jumbucks Restaurant

I found the room relatively expensive and very small because we had requested only one double bed and for 140 dollars for one night arriving at 8 p.m. Departure at 8 a.m. There are several hotels much cheaper but when you are on the road and we don't have much choice we take what we find.
I never saw anyone from the hotel.
On the other hand, the tiles of the shower are split over the entire height and what's more, the water seeps in behind.
Otherwise the site is calm and pretty when you arrive.

Five stars for the friendly manager who helped us out. We arrived to find our booking was one week away, but Robert went out of his way to make sure we had somewhere to sleep.

Rooms seemed clean. The food was OK. The chef is very rude.whent in to restaurant at 7pm they open at 6pm and came out to the table, asking us to go elsewhere next time if we were going to be that late because he wanted to go home!

A quiet and cosy motel in a beautiful country setting, in a very convenient spot within walking distance or a very short drive to local shops.

The rooms are comfortable and large and have a beautiful view of the nearby creek where you can hear the birds and wildlife. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms with everything you need, as well as a small fridge, microwave, TV and Foxtel.

The Jumbucks restaurant is located on site as well and is warm and inviting, and is full of nostalgia from the railways and famous TV shows and movies. The food is delicious and filling, and the staff are highly professional. I highly recommend the Crumbed Camembert as an entree and the Lamb Backstrap for the main.

This is one of my favourite places to stay and keep up the good work.

Only stayed overnight. It was a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Had a good night sleep very peaceful.

Beds definitely need to be renewed, but was OK for the last minute booking after a long drive from Alice Springs

Room was clean and comfortable but, pool was closed, restaurant was closed, reception was closed. If your going to try and run your establishment 'of site" make sure online bookings are clear and concise. I was positive I'd booked a twin room only to be charged a further $16 because I used two beds. Not happy.

We had dinner at Jumbucks Restaurant.
I have to say that my steak was cooked to perfection. Quite possibly the best steak I’ve ever had.

The most comfortable bed and pillow. A quiet location in a very pretty town.
A great nights sleep.
If you are traveling, I highly recommend it.

Absolutely incredible. After booking over the phone received confirmation emails, including directions for contact less check in/out and a list of local eateries. After being on the road for 9 hours we were welcomed with a heated room. Well done!

Comfortable and cosy rooms in a country setting. Burra has plenty of things to see and do within walking distance as well if you have the time.

The Restaurant is warm, inviting and the food is delicious.

Exactly as described. Comfortable and clean. Everything worked despite looking a bit dated. Great place for a stop over on a long car journey from Melbourne.

A clean and well appointed motel. A short walk to the shops. Restaurant not open because of covid but there are plenty of eateries in Burra

We have just checked out after spending 2 fantastic nights at Burra Motor Inn with 2 other couples.
The rooms were clean, everyone friendly, good sized fridge.
Beautiful outdoors with the creek and a visiting family of ducks
The only downfall was finding enough PowerPoint's, maybe a 4 way power board would be useful nowadays with all our tech gear to charge up

Everyone from management to cleaning staff are lovely and considerate. Rooms are spotless and the restaurant food is superb. A massive shout out to Adelaide and Michael, who are absolutely gorgeous people and do their jobs fantastically

We just had the best stay in this adorable place.so clean.so well looked after and the staff from management to cleaners are absolutely fantastic.made you feel so comfortable and happy to be there. Beds are really comfortable and shower was amazing.thanks for a great weekend, we will be back.

Please disregard previous post as it was the Burra HOTEL where we had the long wait for not very good food - Not the Motor Inn and Jumbucks Restaurant as the restaurant was not open for the long weekend. 10 out of 10 for the Burra Motor Inn and will return and look forward to some meals in Jumbucks Restaurant.

Sorry but when you wait for an hour and thirty five minutes for everyone at the table to receive their meals I think you have a big problem!

Great motel on riverside. Visited from foraging ducks was enjoyable. Right in the middle of this historic area and a short wagon to Burra shops. Can also recommend to town key to let you in to historic buildings
