Friendly service and highly capable Optician. Made to feel very comfortable during consultation. Sadly, in 2023, they have relocated from Burnside Village to the Parade at Norwood, and car parking is now terrible making access harder.

Extremely poor customer service. My daughter went all the way from the other side of town to pick up her contact lens which she had been waiting almost a month for. She really needed them urgently for her swimming carnival the next day. They would not let her take it without the Bupa card. They advised her that they cannot process it over the phone with the numbers or screenshot. She came home empty handed so I called the store. The lady name Amujah was being extremely unhelpful and rude. I explained to her the situation and asked her why couldn’t they just give her one pair for tomorrow and we come back to give them the Bupa card the next day. Or why couldn’t they process the Bupa with our serials which they already had in file. Her replied was: she cant just take it for free! I asked if could she have just pay in full and claim the Bupa ourselves after?
She said yes she could have. I asked her why didn’t you give my daughter that option? Instead she told her it is NO way she can take it without the Bupa card and made her come back the next day? !

I would not recommend this store to anyone. Very disappointing customer service.

This morning, I attended my appointment for an eye check and new glasses.
As soon as I walked in the Store Manager greeted me in a warm and friendly manner (she was very good and impressive). I love it when the staff make eye contact and look like they want to be there.
I think the manager would be very good with her leadership skills and culture building in the store.
It is very easy to see as the appointment progressed.
I saw Monica the Optometrist and she was very good at her craft. I found Monica to be warm and friendly and knew what she was doing.

I then went out and met the sales lady who was exactly the same as the rest of the team, a top shelf
operator and like the other staff, they were happy to be there and put in lots of effort.
Congratulations Bupa Burnside, you are very good and thank you for your service.

Incredibly disappointing customer service. You would hope for more understanding, especially during these times, but unfortunately not at Bupa Burnside Village. I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

Do not bother if you want any sort of customer service. Rude, unpleasant receptionist with no desire to help an elderly patient. Most disappointing, will not return.

Zero expertise or actual knowledge of fitting glasses. They sold me two very expensive pairs and assured me they fit. Only one does. The other pair is a disaster and painful. I went back to get advice and the girl there just knows nothing at all about how to fit glasses. I would ask her opinion if a pair fit and she wouldn’t even get off her chair, just glance up and say “it’s personal choice really”. Really!? Not after I spend well over $800. Go elsewhere. They don’t care. Don’t bother to actually serve and have no real experience or expertise.

Over the years we have had excellent service from Eric, Craig and staff. Their attention to detail is appreciated. Couldn't be happier

The culture there is not one of good customer service. Everyone works there gives off a cold, unwelcoming vibe. Both Optometrist and receptionist will fail to tell you to wear your contacts beforehand for the appointment so you'll have to come back again (while being completely unapologetic about it). Thought about switching to them since I've being pretty happy with BUPA health insurance but their optical branch is completely garbage.
