Excellent food, prices, portions and service. Could not be happier. Highly recommend the Absolute Lassi.

Visited for the 1st time this Saturday night. I am fed up with restaurants in Adelaide giving out mains before I have finished my starter and rushing us out of the door.
Spoke to the waitress about this and she said they take their time, clear away all starters and make sure we are ready for mains to be delivered. The timing was absolutely perfect, the waitress was lovely as were the other wait staff.
Food was great, selected a few starters and had British butter chicken as main, medium spice which was perfect.
Will definitely be returning soon.

We visited many restaurants in Adelaide, but I must say that British India is an authentic Indian restaurant which is second to none among all of them. The food, the service and the ambiance of this place are what make this restaurant standout from the rest. I highly recommend this restaurant for someone who's looking for a blend of tastier and healthier indian dishes in a hygienic environment.

We visited here at the end of August and our visit was brilliant. The service was great and the staff were friendly. We were well informed on the dishes, and were guided to order things that we hadn’t tried before. We were pleasantly surprised with each serving. Starting with the poppadoms, we then tried the Vegetable Samosa. Simply incredible - everyone must try it! The mains were lovely and came out quickly after the starters. The dessert was also a lovely, which helped add such a special touch my Birthday night. Thanks team!

Beautiful food, coupled with warm and welcoming service from Arun, made this a stand out experience for us.
We started with the broken samosa and were told it was a menu favourite. After eating it we understood why - it was absolutely delicious!
We followed this up with chicken tikka masala, basmati rice, garlic Naan, pappadams and the best onion/spinach Bhaji's we have ever eaten in Australia.
Next time we will order at least 2 onion Bhajis - they were that good!
Everything we ordered was brilliant and we cannot wait to go back and explore the menu further. This is our new favourite Indian restaurant.

Everything is the best and very neat and clean. The owner manages by himself and takes care of every customer. Highly recommended.

They really have a nice selection of interesting beers.

I ordered the Tinder Beef, asked for extra hot, a cheese and garlic naan and some raita.

All were spot on and expertly cooked. I'll be back for sure.

The food is great and quite flavourful. Got the perfect blend between the sweetness and spiciness. You can choose between mild, medium or hot spicy level for your food.

Service a little slow but not a problem as it gave us more time to finish every morsel of this delightful banquet

It was delicious.
That’s how i will begin here because despite the look of this place you are really uncertain about how the taste will be of the food served here.
But trust me I would spend another round to get a good meal to bite here.
So not much of to right expect the food I personally really loved it.
Especially with the “vandaloo chicken” that now has a different space in my life.

Our dinning experience here was nothing but perfect. From the service, which was welcoming, friendly and efficient, to the food, which was superb. In fact the best Indian food we have ever tasted. We opted for a variety of entre's as we just couldn't decide from the delicious looking menu. We can highly recommend the open samosa, street cauliflower (our favourite), British butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, and the goan prawns. All very yummy! The garlic naan is a must too.so light and fresh. Atmosphere ambient and pricing reasonable. All in all a pleasant experience, and we will definitely be back to try some more on the menu.

I am from India, Delhi so I have a developed indian taste bud and I can rate indian dishes.

I ordered "indian butter chicken" and "mutton korma" both tasted amazing though the price vs quantity was on a higher side.

The breads (garlic naan) was not that great.

Cost: 70$ for 2 dishes and 6 breads.

The ambience was good but loud (I think it was because of some party)

Overall a must try place.

This place is wonderful, delicious food, great staff, a really lovely experience every time we go!

Dinner at @britishindiasa - almost next door to us! Modern Indian food and not quite traditional, but the food is good ️️️. Really friendly service too!

Broken samosa: apparently one of their most popular dishes. Very interesting presentation, and tasted great! I loved puffed rice was delicious.

Royal chilli squid: again, not exactly a traditional Indian dish, but it tasted great.

Curry dishes and naan: nicely done overall! And the naans were delicious.

Visited whilst in town for work, was good food and madras was great and got the kick I wanted. Definitely try their garlic and cheese nans

I have been wanting to go here for years and finally did. Will definitely be going again soon as the dining experience was 10/10! Service was very friendly, professional and welcoming. I had ordered onion Bhaji for an entree however the man serving us suggested that we have the samosa instead & I’m so glad we went with that because the samosa was the best I’ve ever had. All of the food was delicious. Mango Lassi was good, that can be a hit or miss- this place has nailed it! Lovely ambience. Easy parking on the side street just off Anzac highway.
Highly recommend this restaurant.
