Brighton Beach sculpture by sea reviews
23A fantastic yearly event. A lovely way to enjoy the beach while looking at the sculptures. Each year the entries seem to get better and better. There are indoor sculptures and outdoor sculptures, with a People's Choice which has been brought back this year. There are toilets, picnic tables and a playground right next to the indoor sculptures. You can walk your dog around the outdoor sculptures but you cannot bring them into the tents.
Lovely walk along the coast to see the sculptures and gawk at the prices. The marquees were very humid though. Highly recommend for a short stroll, and go for coffee on Jetty Rd after.
Its called the Brighton Jetty Classic but most of the sculptures are gone before the actual Brighton Jetty Race Day.
Sensational on a spring evening. Good place to enjoy a beer or cider at the espy or fish and chips on the sand.
Apart from the permanent sculptures, they put up a sculpture exhibition every year. Very interesting art and mediums. Some artists get really creative, their medium is also the message they are trying to pass across and all that arty stuff.
I am not the must cultured person and as such I can't reconcile the art to the price tag as the really good ones can be quite expensive. But my, some of the sculptures are really awesome!
As part of Adelaide's art calendar, Brighton Beach often puts on an art show displaying a series of sculptures along the coastline. It is well worth checking out if its on and you happen to be in area. Work and materials is varied and features a wide range of creative ideas. Some are also for sale.
Stunning beach crystal clear sea water heaps of free parking. Interstate visiter we drive the 1hour to this beach when other closer
A joy to walk along the sea and have the sculptures inspire thoughts and ideas about the world. An excellent event.
The sculptures add a bit more interest in a trip to Brighton. Lovely sunny day beach and art what more? Yes wine also available.
Lovely to see so many people appreciating the many fine sculptures.
Added bonus to see the lovely Patritti local family company sponsoring it.
Still think their Muscat is liquid Gold.
Clean, wide white sand beach. Good access but parking can be limited in busy times. Variety of cafes nearby.
In one word, it's awesome. If you love fishing, swimming, or even just relaxing on the beach, this is a perfect place for you. Sometimes it's get a bit difficult to get a parking space just next to the beach. I love to visit this place regularly.
Lovely quiet beach area. Even quieter if you stay away from the areas with shops. If your interested in running or walking there is a 3km paved parh with 500mtr markings.
Definitely s tourist attraction especially for visitors to learn a little SA culture.
School kids also benefit.
People changing in the toilets meant long lines to use the toilets.
There was an event on and all else went smoothly.
One of my favourite art exhibitions each year. There are always some interesting and thought provoking pieces set against the beautiful scenery of Brighton Beach. This year there are a few pieces that encourage you to interact with the sculptures. My daughters favourite was the beautiful butterfly chair where you are encouraged to sit and have a photo so the wings become your own. Don't forget to go into the surf club so you get to see all of the art on display. I'd recommend an early morning visit if you want a good photo with any of the art or in the evening if you want to the bonus of a beautiful sunset.
Always an amazing time down at brighton beach. Lovely white sand and clear water which is generally quiet compared to a lot of other popular beaches with an amazing main street full of wonderful cafes and eateries.
I like Brighton Beach and the Esplanade hotel/motel plus cafe 85 view. A good place for a short break. A clean beach and a popular fishing spot off the jetty. Very rejuvenating and relaxing.
A great beach with a lively strip of shops and cafes. Parking can be difficult in the summer and on weekends.
