Bracegirdle's Blackwood reviews
43The place was very good and comfortable. Stuff are very nice. Very clean and tidy place. Will surely comeback. Cheers ️️
Just had coffee here. Quality was good. Service was quick. Good selection of cakes, pastries and chocolates are also available.
Breakfast is served here also.
Hi. Stopped by at your Blackwood venue for after-lunch coffee and chocolate.
All was delicious! But I need to give a special mention to your staff. Your Barista worked so hard with every person that walked into your store- he is brilliant! And a great asset to any business involving durect contact with the public. The young lady working there today is also very helpful and courteous/ a pleasure to deal with. Congrats Bracegirdle’s Blackwood.
Great menu with lots of options, both sweet and savoury. Nice atmosphere. Fantastic range of chocolatey food and drinks?
Cool and relaxing. Great spot for coffee and light meal or cake if you prefer. You must visit this place stuff is very good and helpful. Blackwood is a good place to visit and explore. Come up and have some fun.
Very messy tables and the staff were just talking, tried asking to get served but they just kept talking. Coffee wasn’t nice and food was average
I went there over the Easter weekend. There wasn't much open. So glad they were.
It wasn't cheap, but when quality is served, it matters not.
I'll be back for sure.
I had long black with milk, and smashed avo with bacon and haloumi.
It was an unexpectedly large serve which was good but the food was really bland and could only get through half of it.
The coffee was really average too. Tasted gritty and burnt.
It was a pleasant atmosphere and service was good. No complaints there but the food and coffee were really average.
Went for a coffee and had the fondue for two. Coffee was good but food looked like it had just been thrown on to the plate with no care and chocolate fondue slopped in to a ramekin, which for $30 was rather minimal and missing one of the items which we had to ask for. There were about 4 or 5 staff member working but customer service was very average. When we entered we asked if it was open and was greeted with "yes, menus are at the front and order at the counter". Once food was dropped on the table, there was no follow up from staff but it may have been due to the staff being to busy reviewing there upcoming social plans. Some staff also need to get some new uniforms sorted as there was a one with rips down the side of her shirt and another that has stains on her trousers. I think just a little bit of attention to detail and customer service would of made our whole experience better but unfortunately what we experienced today has left us not wanting to go back.
Busy around 2pm and as we entered the premises, several tables were not cleared.
Waiting in queue while the customer ahead ordered a chicken curry, but the attendant said kitchen closed. Customer asked to check with chef, attendant responded that it was closed since her brother working in the kitchen. Customer requested to check, attendant sighed, customers in line waiting and wondering what would happen next as attendant went to check. Came back and said the item could be made. My friend said the customer was arrogant insisting, but I disagreed and commended the chef for going the extra mile probably knowing its good for business.
Customer service was lacking at front of the house. It is surprising to witness this especially during this time when businesses have been impacted by covid.
As for our order, coffees arrived lukewarm with same attendant dropping it off and walking away without any acknowledgement. Dessert arrived 5 minutes after coffees were half finished. Bad day, perhaps? Try not to let it reflect on your service and attitude with other customers and those nearby, as it leaves a lasting impression that influences whether or not we return or try the other food venues nearby.
Enjoyed my visit to Blackwood Bracegirdles. Ordered Chicken green curry with rice and home made naan bread. My friend ordered Salt and Pepper Squid. Both meals were presented well and were hot to the table. We each had a prosecco for a drink. Service was efficient, helpful and friendly. Will go again
Excellent waffles with chocolate, fruit and ice cream shared between two of us, thanks to its richness & size. Delicious! We'll be back
If I could give 0 stars unfortunately I would on each aspect. Would not recommend for a group for breakfast. 7 of us went for our 9am breakfast booking. It was very quiet, we actually thought they were closed when we first arrived as there were so few people. The food all came out at different times with more than a 15 minute gap between the first meal and the last meal to arrive. So the majority of the meals were stone cold by the time we went to eat. I had a tiny bite from my entire plate of food and gave it back because it was horrible and no one asked why it was basically untouched. Like many other meals on our table. We expected someone to at least ask why no one ate their meals. Definitely none of us would ever go back for breakfast.
Awesome! Just coffee and cake, but awesome! Had our grandson in tow, and he was good, so good all round! Staff and coffee were faultless!
Ordered a moussaka and chicken & prawn salad. Both came out together but moussaka was cold. It was taken back to be reheated for nearly 20 minutes, in which time the salad was eaten entirely. Moussaka was returned without an apology and it was eaten. That's all. Just disappointed with the lack of apology. Not looking for anything free out of this.
We went for breakfast on Saturday got in just before the rush came at 10am. Hubby had the vintage big breakfast and I had the vego version. Both were really good and good size serves. Liked their home made baked beans. Quick service and friendly staff.
Frappe was tasted like a black coffee with no sugar in it, hard to drink! Coffee was really good though so saved a bad review
Takeaway coffee was weak and watery and hot chocolate, 3/4 of a takeaway cup only, weird taste and sweeter than sweet.undrinkable.
Greeted with a smile and prompt service as soon as I walked in. Very quick and lovely staff. Great coffee and even better hot chocolate. Definitely recommend if you want something warm during the cold winter mornings!
We try to support local business as much as we can, particularly at the moment, and have tried Bracegirdles multiple times now. While the food is generally good, we won't be returning. Orders consistently take a very long time to come out and there is not usually an apology. I recently ordered 3 drinks only and it took over half an hour for them to come out. It was a busy time of day and I understand there were a lot of orders to get through but perhaps more staff are needed when most tables are full. The person who was making the coffees was also taking them out to tables. We have also had long wait period when only a few tables were occupied - a few days earlier I ordered a coffee and muffin only. The coffee came out reasonable quickly but I waited over 20 minutes for a muffin!
There is generally a sense of staff being a bit disorganised - a family next to us in line had booked a table yet no table had been reserved for them and there was a scramble to try and find them a spot to sit.
Finally, in the current environment, I was concerned at the lack of cleaning procedures. Our table was full of dirty plates which weren't removed until after I had gone up to order and pointed them out. Then the dishes were taken but the table was not wiped down. I also needed a high chair for my child and it was very obvious none of these had been wiped over either. Again, I appreciate is was a busy time, however perhaps better management of staff/customers is needed.
