Bowman Scenic Drive

Absolutely beautiful scenic coastline and some awesome spots to get out and have a closer look at the crumbling shoreline and cracking waves by walking only a few hundred meters.

No trip to Beachport in the Limestone Coast is complete without a cruise along the Bowman scenic drive, a fully sealed route which follows the spectacular rugged coastline of the Southern Ocean.

Wind your way around the bends overlooking the stunning ocean, idyllic beaches, rock pools and reefs. Take in the wonderful views from one of the many vantage points along the way or stop to enjoy a leisurely walk down to sandy beaches and wander out onto rocky outcrops at the Salmon Hole and Post Office Rock.

The kids will love rolling down the steep sandy dunes or exploring in the rock pools.

Scuba dive, surf fish or simply ponder the mystique of nature from one of the lookouts. Good vantage points to view passing Southern Right Whales.

Please note there are dangerous undertows along these beaches. Take care at all times.

Great drive. Lots of detours. Camping can be found in the trees.fab. Off roading also can be done.

It's a very nice drive with lovely views, if only the weather was better to enjoy it more.

This area, Bowmans Scenic Drive is really quite beautiful. The fishing here also was good with half kilo Salmon trout being caught.

Very nice well worth the short detour.
There's a turnoff towards the end of the drive that looks a bit rocky but it gets very sandy and hard to turn around. Easy to get bogged, especially if you don't deflate tyres.

This road is fantastic, easy and in great condition to drive on and the views are nothing but spectacular.

Nice drive. Stopped at the light house (short stroll from car park) and the blow holes. Really a must do if in the area. Kids thought it was going to be boring, couldn't get them to leave the blow holes lol.

Nice coastal drive to the lighthouse. Beautiful in the summer. It would be equally as nice walking the length of this drive. Lots of good photo opportunities.

So much to see. Beautiful views and Easy walking. Great signage along the route with plenty of parking. Must do this drive.

Part of what you can do in Beachport SA a great drive any time of year watch the crashing waves in winter from your car or in sumner take a walk breath in the fresh air and heavens forbid get some exercise
