bordertown food court reviews
20Cold food tasted like it had been sitting a long time. Out of 7 orders 3 were left in the bain-marie, the other food came out staggered, other people in the restaurant were complaining about the food taking ages to come out. Sauce wasn't included with the kids meals. The hot food and coffee were ok but the whole experience was a time consuming waste.
Warning: only order the hot food. Nice and clean little place for a pit stop.
Any curry should be avoided (mostly pre cooked - frozen thawed)
Dear person considering to eat at this place,
I bought the sweet chilli tender wrap and would not recommend. I wasn’t aware it was pre-made (they should specify this on the menu) so when I got it, the wrap was soggy, as much as I tried to finish it, I just couldn’t.
I can’t speak for anything else besides a chicken Parma that my husband bought which was okay, salad was a bit strange but generally okay.
They might have better food, but I want to share my experience to help others have a better experience hopefully.
Yours truly, a disappointment and hungry mum.
Stopped here on our way home. We had a large peri peri pizza. It was delicious however would have preferred a more creamy peri peri taste to it rather than a straight hot sauce.
Service was good and fast. Plenty of seating area including one big table that we used due to the larger number of family I had. Good few toys for the kids. Good atmosphere.
DON’T DRIVE PASS BORDERTOWN WITHOUT STOPPING BY BORDERTOWN CAFE & RESTAURANT! Had to return when they open at 11am to get the BEST COUNTRY FRIED CHICKEN, CHIPS & GRAVY! Can’t wait till we come pass this way again!
Well done to the all the staff that were so friendly and helpful, including the kitchen staff!
Beautiful little hidden gem! We all really enjoyed this place! Also loved that they had different strengths of coffee to suit different tastes!
Food was amazing for the price! Was all reasonable pricing and the food quality matched nicely! Definitely did not overpay for the food!
As we left, we all looked at each other and said ‘I think we have found our new spot! ’
Conveniently located. Quick-service. Tropical burger and fried chicken was very tasty. Chips where amazing
The food was good, the service was good. Above the rest in the area.
But more importantly, I left my wallet there. The guy hung onto if for me, and ended up posting to me, saving me hundreds in lost cards etc.
I really appreciate his help.
Ledgends!
Service was very Good and food was very delicious. We were 8 people so hungry. Thanks for very good food and service
Stop over to grab some late lunch. They ran out of potatoes so no chips.
Fried chicken was really good on its own. Burger was almost a Mcchicken from Maccas.
This eatery isn’t the most inviting & first impressions weren’t great. The young lady at the counter didn’t know her coffee. However, the food more then compensated for it. Pizzas were great! Butter Chicken was amazing. The smashed burger bun was sad looking but the chicken burger combo was tasty. Not your experienced baristas but they have good coffee beans! Service could be quicker though….
Service is terrible. I ordered family chicken meal and received all pieces of friend chicken in one plate. They did not give out additional plates for all diners. Also, they wanted to charge extra for tomatoes sauce even when we bought full family meal. I asked them to provide additional glasses for the drink I bought but they only gave 2 glasses when we had 4 at the table. Cheapsters!
Average fast food outlet main thing it has going for it is it's the only one in town. Good for a quick bite to eat
Ordered 2 large pizzas on my way back from Bendigo to Adelaide. Was very happy with the size of the pizza and the generous toppings. The staff were extremely friendly and polite.
Definitely stop by here for a quick lunch break.
Excellent value for money. Friend had Fish+chips with a decent salad. I had chicken tender. Salad didn't appear on menu but I asked for side salad & got a good salad for approx $2.25. Fast, friendly service!
The food is always good, prices are fair when they can be seen. More details on whats on offer would be good.
Food here is "Ok", not great or good. They stuffed up my order twice and expect a half an hour wait for a freakin chips. Chicken taste good and if you order a pizza, id say their chicken hawaiin is the only thing closer to a real pizza the rest is "meh".
How is this the only place in Australia where I consistently get the BEST and I mean BEST hot chips? Best served with a side of gravy!
Legit I live in Melbourne and would consider the 7 hour drive just for these chips. True country hospitality, incredible stuff!
Myself and Shelly took the grand kids out for lunch. They perused the menu asking lots of questions. Although it was quieter, once lunch turned up at a good time frame. They weren't sure about the samos but after a taste I thought I wouldn't get any and homemade YUM. A tad expensive but I'm not changing for nobody it was beautiful
Moo milk
A nice place to stop and have lunch. They offer a variety of food options, from burgers to rice and curry. The food and dining area were both good. Would definitely recommend it.
