Food was better than expected given the other reviews and locals comments but for country town Chinese it worked. Service though was terrible and restaurant looked a bit dirty. Three people walked out without ordering while we were there because of the ordering system.the sign says due to covid but covid died 12 months ago.every country town needs good Chinese this was edible and ok but not amazing stay away from the battered stuff ewww.

On the restaurant’s website it says take away or eat in.
We went to the restaurant and it was empty. I asked can we eat in? The younger lady said no, it’s just take away.
We found a menu and decided quickly what to have. In the meantime while all this was going on the older female and a man behind the counter was chatting to this local man and ignoring us. We waited to be acknowledged and 10min passed still no recognition. We then looked at each other with my partner and decided to leave. No byes etc.
Very disappointed
Also very expensive too.

Entered store.
Was told by 2 STAFF MEMBERS to fill out a piece of paper to order food. Instead of taking my order themselves. Why?
Then I received Combination Hokkien Noodles. ZERO FLAVOUR. Was like it was cooked in water. Was truly horrible.
Picked out the little meat that was there. Threw the rest.
Truly disappointing for the only Asian Restaurant in town. Could be so much better, but isn't.

This was my review 2 years ago: . 4 Stars - Helen and Tim alway provide the friendliest and nicest service. Food is great too. Highly recommended.

This is my review Sep 2021: Terrible standard for food. One star only. I can't believe that the standard of cooking has become so bad. I ordered sweet and sour pork, honey lemon chicken and special fried rice. Traditionally the two main dishes come with vegies and cooked in their sauce. These weren't and instead where reheated dishes with no vegies and sauces supplied in separate containers. The special fried rice was barely recognized as anything special.
It's obvious they have lost their passion for cooking and simply reheating frozen food. I've never eaten such poor quality Chinese food or any food from a licenced restuarant. Sorry guys I was a big fan but not now. Save your money.

Food fantastic. Told to come for food in 40 minutes but it took 1hour and 10 minutes. A more realistic wait time would be appreciated.

04/07/21 please do not try the Sweet and Sour Pork.waste of money unfortunately. Food binned as hard chewy and overfried. As if it had been reheated. The dish should be removed from Menu.
Service was courteous from Mary. Civud safety very good.

A bit pricey, the service is so uptight like its the new corona. The chook with veggie was so yum, but sweet sour pork is a big no no for me

Crispy beef and plum sauce was actually SOGGY beef in plum juice.

Fried Rice tastes like Steamed rice with mixed in birdseye pre-chopped frozen veggies. Not fried.

Dumplings.black soy sauce as dipping sauce and scalding-hot from the microwave or boiler. C'mon.really?

1st and last time I'd spend that ammount of money here.

BUT the service was lovely!:)

Much better than most suburban Chinese restaurants in Adelaide. The owners could easily compete in Gouger St! Food quality is top notch and the owner loves to chat with his clientele. Bordertown have a gem with this restaurant.

I had to give it one star because there is no zero stars, if you order food it takes more than one hours, they should give the food to you free if you have to wait more than one hour.

Terrible tasting food and I got food poisoning from it. Can’t believe there are so many good reviews, took an hour to get my rotten food and I only gave it one star because I couldn’t give them 0 stars.

The only Chinese restaurant in Bordertown, and the worst in Australia. The pork was dried out, tasting as though it had been reheated over several days, te rice was gluey. As we were sitting in the park across the road eating this junk, a Chinese woman and a young man who worked at the place came outside for a hilarious screaming match in Mandarin, in the middle of the street, ignoring cars. We forgot about the crappy food to be highly entertained by two Orientals having a loud domestic.

Absolutely great service and delicious, msg-free food. Nothing beats a box of takeaway from here!

Quick service, standard Chinese food. Just a 5min wait for food from ordering means you can eat and get driving again in 20min.
