Loads of walking tracks, kids playground, garbage bins, picnic tables, parking, and a lovely cafe with outdoor benches and seating. Family friendly, popular spot and easy access.

A bit hard to find the playground today but I will know next time. My grandson loved the play equipment. We will go another time and take a picnic lunch.

Bonython Park is a free 4 hour park on the outskirts of the City of Adelaide. Unfortunately they don't have marked parking spots and often people are inconsiderate of others and take up too much room. If you park there you can catch a free tram into the city. I use it often for appts in town

It's a park, it has a few electric BBQ 's, a large grass area public toilets and a large kids play equipment. The kiosk is back up and working and open event during the week. 10-4

Beautiful park to sit or stroll and great place for children to play on their bikes at the bike track. Great place for a birthday party. Easy car parking with plenty of space.

It's such a great place to take my grand daughter. She loves playing on the equipment, running on the grass and visiting the police horses.
The council does a great job caring for the park.
Thank you.

Kiosk reopened near the playground. Cycled there but would be great to have a safe East-West cycle way in Adelaide to assist in getting there.

Beautiful area, clean and close to public transport and bathrooms. It could improve parhs as it gets muddy and wet during winter.

Plenty of parking, toilet facilities, kids playground, walking/cycling tracks and lots and lots of open space to relax. Dog friendly park (on lead for the most part) as well as an off lead dog park at a short walk. A couple of cafes are also available.one next to the golf course if you keep walking to the linear park trail.

It’s a round pond in Bonython Park. This pond is for community use for recreational model boating. Each Tuesday and the second Saturday of each month (powered club) and the fourth Sunday of each month (sail / scale) by model boating groups.
No swimming here because of recycled water in use.
Here you also can see many ducks and birds.

Very nice walk. Lots of trees and shade. More speeding bikes than I'd like, but it's possible to go on the grass, so they're avoidable. Easy parking.

Awesome area for all your family needs!

Has everything there from playgrounds, BBQ, bike tracks, ovals, shaded areas and is very well maintained.

For many of its fans, Jurassic Park sits in the prehistoric era of film, a time before summer blockbusters consisted of endless sequels, prequels, threequels and unbreakable superheroes. Now, a generation later, Steven Spielberg’s adventure classic has a follow-up worthy of its name.

The premise, once again, is simple, but undeniably entertaining: Jurassic World (because who needs a park when you can have a world?), is, apparently, in decline, with visitor attendance dropping year-on-year. And why? In a nod to society’s ever-increasing need for constant upgrades and improvements, the answer is that dinosaurs just aren’t that interesting anymore.

The theme park, run by the determined, if slightly cold, Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), is in need of a dinosaur-sized kick, a new attraction that will draw back the gawkers and put paid to the naysayers. What it gets is the Indominus rex, a genetically-modified hybrid creature, comprised partly of various dinosaurs – and partly of a multitude of mainly undisclosed animals.

When the Indominus rex escapes its pen, it’s not long before carnivorous carnage ensues, with the hybrid’s path of destruction paving the way for a domino effect of uncontrollable carnage across the island, this time with thousands of unsuspecting guests waiting to be preyed upon.

One thing you need to do when watching “Jurassic World” is to forget the two previous installments in the franchise. As far as this film’s makers are concerned, they never happened: Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum’s contribution ended 22-years-ago – and a Tyrannosaurus rex didn’t end up doing a Godzilla in San Diego.

REPORT THIS AD

Once you’ve done that, set your brain to nostalgic mode, as numerous references are made to the original entry in the series, without ever being forced down your throat, “Terminator”-style. With Chris Pratt’s undeniable (if slightly cheesy) charm driving the film, it’s easy to stay on-board, as he, a dinosaur researcher and skilled Velociraptor trainer, sets out to save Dallas Howard’s two nephews, who have disappeared into the far reaches of the island.

It’s safe to say that, if “Jurassic Park” never existed, the public may not have bought into “Jurassic World”. The CGI creatures we see today are no longer new, nor more impressive than anything we’ve seen in similar movies. However, so many people hold “Jurassic Park” close to their hearts, that all they needed was for this to emulate its creator, to revere it, not to distance itself. This is why “Jurassic World” is such a joy to watch: it knows it only exists because something even more special came before it.

What’s more, Spielberg’s presence can be felt all over it, so that, even without his direction, the project flourishes, remaining riveting and pulsating throughout, with touches of emotion that will resonate with lovers of the initial tale.

Of course, as we’ve come to expect, the scenery is gorgeous, the dinosaurs are magnificent and the love story is bland. No harm there: the park is open again – and things are bigger and better than they’ve ever been.
I love it Soo much

Very well kept greens with a very large playground near the Torrens catchment. Great for families, loads of seating areas with a few BBQ areas set up around.

I had a lovely time at Bonython Park in early 2021 when it was set up for the Summer Sounds Festival. Every precaution had been taken to be wary of Covid spreading, and despite all my doubts, a successful music festival was held safely and without incident. Fantastic organisers, staff, crew, talent and volunteers banded together to create an event that, in these troubled times, should make Adelaide very proud. Great place. Great people. Great time. Easy five stars.

An incredibly good place to come with your family. Kids activities, awesome playground, and lots more. Trees provide plenty of shade and loads of parking. It's a privilege to be able to enjoy such a wonderful space free of charge. Well worth the look.

It has nice open space of grass. Could maybe do with a big playground. It is a nice place to relax and also has a trail for walks. The river is close by for some bird watching and duck feeding as well

Beautifully maintained public park

With plenty of public amenities, playgrounds, bbqs and set on the river torrens.

Bonython park makes for a great place to take the family or commute from.

4hr parking on-site makes it perfect to catch the free tram into the nearby hosptials or shopping precincts.

I LOVE this playspace.and yeah, so do the kids. Soooooo many equipment choices makes for hours of endless outdoor play. Fresh air for the kids, exercise, there's even a kiosk for a nibble. Make sure you set aside a good block of time to do this one. For those looking for a bit of a Sunday drive, it's well worth it!
