Boatdeck Cafe

Went there for a catchup coffee with my Cuz on 3/7/21. It was a cold uninviting morning but we decided to sit outside as we wanted to talk and inside is always noisy. No issue with that. Whilst I went and ordered, my Cuz asked one of the staff for a towel to dry the chairs as they were wet with an earlier downpour.
By the time I got back, she hadn't returned to dry the chairs so we improvised and found two that were dry and swapped them over. The girl then later came out with our coffees and was oblivious to my cousins previous request. Put the coffees on the table with no interaction with us.
As she didn't have a name tag, I describe her as follows: - late teens, early 20's, boggle glasses with a nose piercing. Later a young lad collected our cups and once again no interaction. Did he ask whether we enjoyed our coffee or our time at the Boatdeck? No he did not.
Customer service is waining at many establishments and this is why when people have a -tive experience they pass it on to friends and family and don't return. We'll give the Boatdeck another chance as we've been there a few times. If the customer service doesn't improve then we'll spend our $$ elsewhere.

3x hairs in 3x different dishes!

Come on Boatdeck management/Chef > Kitchen hygiene 101 guys! Hair nets/caps etc for all the kitchen personnel & container coverings/sealed all exposed/open food prep.

Meals were very good but the space they left for 20 of us to sit would have been about right for 16. It was incredibly cramped and uncomfortable.

The first time I had the risotto it was great. The second time the onion was hard. The third time tonight the avocado was black/brown.

Best steak I have ever had but pizza is not great. The gelato and ice cream was also quite good would definitely recommend

Breakfast was nearly cold when served.coffee was the same.not good enough for the prices charged

Laid back style with inside and lakeside eating, great menu, good wines, first class service, good prices. Have eaten there regulars for over a decade

Had a disappointing breakfast here today, granted it was busy but incredibly noisy at the inside tables. Meals were average, The Rosti Stack was actually three oily Hash Browns with chewy Bacon and poached eggs. Not impressed!

We stopped in the Boat deck for lunch with relatives, it was just great. Very friendly wait staff and good food, I had the fisherman's plate and I really enjoyed it. The place was packed so that is a fair indication of their popularity. I would go again, recommended.

Was horrible. Only ordered 2 drinks. Had to chase them up for them cause someone forgot. Flat white was bitter. As if the machine hadn't been clean for awhile. N the banana smoothie was the worst I had ever had in my entire life. I left over half of it. It was made with a green banana. Absolute waste of time and money coming here.

Amazing is the only word I can think of while writing this review, we loved all our foods we ordered and coffees, We went for breakfast. “Breakfast by the lake” doesn’t the idea sounds so good. My waffles were spot on crunchy and soft.

Dont know how it takes 40 minutes to make to Cuppacino. We ordered two pieces of cake and was told when we got the Cuppacino that only one was paid for!

Food is always great and the vibe is fabulous. Front of house is always super friendly and courteous.

Went for brunch on public holiday. Food was awful & over priced- staff
(especially) young lady at counter, Sam I think? Was sooo rude. Will not return or recommend

Ordered a seafood platter and small pizza the food was good but was served cold and before our drink order

Pretty decent food. I had chicken salad which had a lot of good quality cut of chicken which was nice and tender (not dry, not over cooked). Recommend over the ML hotel

Nice place with good coffee and meals. Good location on the lake. Great place to take you dog as they have plenty of outside seating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very busy therefore loud inside so the place could use some soft furnishings to absorb some of the noise.

Appalling service from the staff at the Boat Deck Cafe this morning. Waited patiently for an hour and 40 minutes for two breakfast meals that we never received. We expected a fair waiting time as it was busy, which was fine. The waitress that took our order in the beginning walked past our table multiple times and didn’t bother to question where our food was. If my boyfriend didn’t go up to the counter and ask, we probably would have been sitting there all day. I have visited the Boat Deck a couple of times before and was satisfied. Will never come back again. Time wasters xx

Great atmosphere.great food.unfortunately to cold to sit by the lake today, who would have believed that, service excellent and very friendly staff.
