Blue Lake Reserve reviews
9Lush green and scenic view all around, lovely, perfect for photography, nice landscaping. Must visit.
Nice location, green big landscape, you can take good photos from many angles, very close to blue lake. Near to walking track. Easy car park, overall a very good scenic spot.
Lovely place lots of reasons to visit. Can walk the lake or head down into the valley lakes to have a bqq or let the kids go play in the park area. Walk through the wildlife park
It is a beautiful place and you can take a 4km easy walk around the rim with views of the lake, farm land and the city.
Make sure to visit from mid November onwards when the lake will have it's super blue look. Sunny day will also help enhance the colour. Stop anywhere along the ring road to view from a good height or visit the place to take a guided tour.
It’s a lovely area for a jog around the lake. The lake/water reservoir is in the middle of residential area.
Lake will be vivid blue in October during the warmer season. You can still see the colour of the lake and still a pretty lake.
Close to umpherstone sinkhole.
Mt Gambier is the half way mark between MELBOURNE and Adelaide! There is no excuse not to stop! It is a fascinating historical place- geological and landscape! Is worth a minimum two days visit just to enjoy the difference! Four main places come to mind within 5 km of each other 1 &2. The sunken gardens are a must. The one in the town centre is smaller, and they both have light shows in the evening when l was there. 3. The Engelbrecht underground sea cave (it does not have stalactites or stalagmites, looks ordinary, but the intriguing web it weaves under the streets of Mt Gambier! Needs to understand to appreciate the significance of this cave) is where the world famous Adelaide anaesthetist (instrumental in saving the young football team trapped in an underground cave in Thailand on 9th July 2018) Richard Harriss practices often! There are quite a few more underground caves in Mt Gambier. Naturally, The school for underground swimming is located in Mt Gambier! 4. Of course! The intriguing Blue Lake which changes colour! I just love hiking the 9 km circuit (shorter if just one lake) around the two lakes! Don’t forget to check into the Centenary tower once you see the flag up! I see runners and Mountain bikers around as well!
Nice place place to visit. It has a lot of places to go for a walk and bikes as well. There are a lot of campings really near
