Sadly, the two product lines I really like, Mini Florals and Orange Sticks seem to have been discontinued.

My daughter entered the shop before Easter to buy some lollies for my grandchildren, she was racially viniefied and was accused of stealing, the lady then abused her in front of all patrons in the store, after she insisted on opening her bag and going through her bag, my daughter left distraught and deeply affected by the shop assistants actions, my daughter became so distressed from her experience it was the most hardest experience ever to watch your child experience and hear her absolute pain, when I rang for an explanation the assistant laughed and stated that she had a bad day and never apologised. I will never let me daughter enter that shop again in her life.this lady obviously needs some cultural education and training and some customer services training. Not every child of colour steals.

Bad luck if you use a wheelchair and want to look in this shop, bunch of stairs with no ramp or alternative entrance.

I was a fan for this place until today, drove 20mins to try make it before 5pm closing time, it’s fringe weekend and the traffic is bad, still got there at 4: 56 but they already locked the door, then I tried to communicate with them thru the closed door but the staff wouldn’t want to listen or communicate more, just turned their head away and eventually disappeared.
I got there on time and said million pleases, I understand sometime shop closing early or they might done the cash settlement but I’d love to see them at least come down and explain more to me at that point.like a normal person.
I was trying to get some specific lollies for a birthday party, not like I could come again the next day. I left the place at 4: 59, not even 5pm yet lol.
NO more business from me or anyone I know, you’re welcome!

Awesome little shop with a really fun facade outside. Lots of old school classics as well as British and American favourites that may be difficult getting from anywhere else. A great deal of willpower was needed for me to leave without buying some marshmallow spread. I love that stuff, add it to biscuits to make easy smores. Highly recommend a visit next time you're in town and have a sugar craving.

Nice shop, love American and UK sweets. Love the sweet smell as I come in the door, but I find the workers very standoffish, maybe employ nicer people?

A little on the expensive side but it's one of the only places to get UK crisps and chocolate, so you don't have much choice. To be fair, they have had huge issues with doing over from the UK. Also has a good selection of NZ and USA sweets and snacks too.

Blackeby’s Old Sweet Shop is the biggest lolly shop in Adelaide.

Beautiful sweet shop with a wide range of sweets, chocolates, and sours. Highly recommended.

I never usually write reviews when I go to a shop but the service here was amazing. The young lady serving at the counter was so kind and friendly, I believe her name was Cyndi. There is such a wide range of candy here as well. All up, this place is a wonderful sweet shop with wonderful service. Highly
recommend.

Such an amazing experience here! Such a rustic vibe inside, with a wide range of candy! I found some things here I've been wanting to taste again for a very long time! And the lady at the counter was super sweet! Definitely one of my most favorite places in Adelaide, my only regret is not finding it earlier!

Going to Blackebys Old Sweet shop is like having a trip down memory lane - all the old favourites are there. Tucked down James Place you can't miss the facade - you just want to go in! If you take children in be prepared for a long wait while they choose what they want. I go for the acid drops and toffee umbrellas that I used to eat as kid.

Great range of confectionary. Woeful service from the female owner, we stood in line for about 10 minutes waiting to pay for purchase, whilst she spoke to two schoolgirls about employment. Switch on woman.won't go back. ‍️

Fantastic collection of sweets from around the globe and home made copies if they couldn't get the originals. Easily burn through some cash if you have a sweet tooth or looking for different gift for someone.

Incidental finding as we walked down a lane way off Rundle Mall. This wonderfully decorated shop front grabbed our attention immediately. Given my wife's love for confectionary it was a must visit.

Upon walking in there is a history lesson on the foundations of this shop and then you are welcomed by almost every possible confectionary item known. So much to choose from.

Great find. For sweet tooth lovers this is great.

Didn't buy anything, but rating purely on availability and range of selection. You can find things here you can't find anywhere else. The specificity and arrangement of niche products is unrivalled.

Odd, out of the way, item's you can't find in Supermarket's. Many oversea's product's, to my liking.
