BIG4 Port Elliot Holiday Park reviews
81They were able to get us in for 3 nights over the new years period and we were forever grateful. 3 year old son had an absolute ball on the playground and jumping pillow. We were able to have warm showers and use the facilities which were in great condition and clean! Very much enjoyed our stay, it’s like a rustic take on a big 4 caravan park which is the perfect vibe given its amazing location 10/10
Visited friends staying here. What a lovely park. Very clean facilities & plenty of them. Well set out, & so close to the beach, walking track & Flying Fish cafe. Loved it.
I loved seeing all the birds at this time of year. There are flocks of tiny little thornbills and finches bobbing around, and we saw a flock of 20 pelicans fly overhead!
Good kitchen amenities, clean bathrooms, nice grassy spot to pitch a tent, and silvery sunsets over the sea. What more could you want?
Location is lovely! Short walk to the beach and the playground is fantastic. Staff that severed us were friendly. However, the cabin we stayed in has water damage, rotting wood and more than likely mould. Spoke to staff and they said that the owners were aware. I would say this is unlikely to get fixed and would advise you check your cabin to ensure the safety of your family!
Lovely caravan park, clean, walking distance to shops and beach. Reasonable price. Take dogs.
It's a lovely place to visit Port Elliot, the cabin we booked was pet friendly so we could take our dog that goes everywhere with us. They are basic, nice, clean spacious cabins apart from the bathroom, that was a little not so squeezy but all in all functionable. The only point I would make is the cabin could use some blackout curtains because the blinds on the windows leaves a slit each side and when your woken up at 7am in the morning by blinding sunlight it's not a nice thing to wake up too.
Very poor TV reception & no wifi, compared with other parks in the area this one needs some TLC to bring it up to the 2022 standard.
It was a great experience in Breeze Holiday park. The unit was clean and big enough. Outdoor activities were excellent for family holiday program.
Great park, excellent play equip, camp kitchen terrific, toilets always clean friendly people, close beach. Thanks for the stay we, ll be back.
We spent one night here. It’s a fantastic park with beautiful big grounds for kids to play, a modern kitchen with ovens and a beautiful communal garden (it was nice to enjoy some fresh herbs and silverbeet with our breakfast). The ammenities are clean and spacious with good water pressure and temperatures. Sites have lovely trees (some big some small) for shade and shelter.
Our beach side site #12 was so quiet and peaceful.
If we didn’t have to fly back home we would have loved to have stayed on longer.
Good location right on the bay. Been here many times, but stayed in Unit 11 this time, which is needing a bit of work / maintenance.
Our site was across the camp road from the surf and the park had plenty to occupy the kids.
1 car per site policy is a joke. 2nd car hundreds of metres away outside the park when there was plenty of room with only 2 small tents on the site. Meanwhile next door can have a dodge ram and a 24ft dual axle caravan parked on it. Ridiculous.
We liked here so much that we modified our route in order to extend our stay from 2 to 3 nights. Check-in was smooth. The opening hours of the office was probably the longest that we’d come across. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional.
This is the biggest caravan park that we’ve stayed in Adelaide so far. It covers a huge area with many powered sites and a handful of unpowered ones. There are also cabins, cottages and villas. The sites are reasonably spaced out but could be quite crowded when they reach full capacity.
It was a low season and the site that we were allocated to was right next to an empty beachfront site. Crockery Bay is just 40m beyond that. It was my favourite sunrise spot for all 3 mornings. It should be a great spot for taking night sky photos as most of the park is pretty well lit except that.
Follow the trail next to the bay and go north, it’ll take you to Fisherman Bay. Head south you’ll reach Horseshoe Bay probably faster than driving there. The location is ideal for enjoying the coastline in the area. A big supermarket is less than 10 mins drive along the way to Victor Harbour.
The general feeling of the whole place was neat and tidy. The toilets were clean and the shower cubicals were spacious and practical. We preferred the amenity block on the western side of the park as the basin taps were mixers.
The camp kitchen is well-equipped and cleaned daily. There are also tables, chairs and even a big TV. We cooked and dined there whenever possible. BBQ area is right outside of the kitchen and covered.
A amazing place to stay away and travel to for a wknd and by the beach very relaxing and the staff there look after u very well and help u with anything u need. We go here regularly and I highly recommend there cabins to stay in
The location is excellent, facilities were well maintained. Great Bbq facilities available however they take quite a while to heat up. Personally I found the beds a bit worn and uncomfortable. The main thing that took the experience down a peg was the 1 car policy, boom gate was dreadful.really needs a review. The one staff member I saw was also inflexible "1 car only leave the other parked up" was her quote. Some people drive a long way to have a holiday and a well earned break. The restarants nearby were really good. Love Port Elliot.
Great place to stay and enjoy the great experience the beach walks, birding and the facilities are great, right on the beach and plenty of room. Plenty of picnic tables to enjoy
Very nice caravan park, close to the beach and the surrounding areas has lots to do. Friendly helpful staff.
Just be mindful of the powered site water pressure is extremely high and some sites are quite difficult to get in and out of without scratching your caravan because of the trees which has sharp branches.
My van suffered bad scratches.
Stayed there last weekend we had trouble with the boom gate as did other people and have been told that has been happening al week as we know people who stayed earlier also I could not sleep in the double bed with my husband as the springs in the mattress were sticking in my back not a good experience
Great location. The reason for 1 star off is we were in the older cabins. In comparison to the newer ones, they look like they are better kept including the landscaping.
