Big Rocking Horse reviews
75Disappointing, big rocking horse was OK but animals seemed food-aggressive, especially the goats; jumping up trying to snatch food bags from visitors.
I went here in 1489 and someone asked me "if you're flying through the desert an your boat gets a flat tyre, what should you have in your pockets? " i answered blue, it turns out they were a vengeful spirit who was buried on those ground in 1916BC, they were pretty cool though
Great place to visit to check out the biggest rocking horse in the world and the toy factory.
Great place with plenty to see and do. Toy shop was amazing. Follow us Sweet-Az RV'n on youtube
My grandchildren are over here from the UK, my grandson lost his wallet, which was found by the manager. The staff & the manager was so very helpful and informative and friendly.
Thankyou guys for an experience we will never forget.x
An amazing place for the whole family to have fun, especially for the kids on weekends. The big rocking horse is quite scary for some adults because of its height but interesting for kids.
There is a toy factory and souvenir area with lots of pretty items. I have bought some magnetic and finger puppets as they're so cute.
The relatively airy cafe and bakery even sell ice cream and fairy floss. A simple zoo with gentle and friendly animals helps the kids get closer to nature. There is a small playground for children as well, with tables and chairs for everyone to rest in or a small picnic.
The parking lot is quite spacious and airy. The toilet is not so bright but clean enough.
Thanks!
We were here on Sunday (23/07/2023). This is a place where kids and adults both can have a good time. The Big Rocking Horse claims to be the world's biggest of the sort! You can pay $2.00 to climb to the top of the Big Rocking Horse and get a certificate! There is a small wild life park with a $4.00 entrance fee! Animal food bags you can buy for $2.00 each. There are a small range of animals but still good enough for a quick visit and to take photos with the animals and feed them. Snowy the Goat can be cheeky! There are Peacocks, Ducks, Wallabies, Kangaroos, Australian Alpacas, Goats and Emu. Not to forget the talking parrot! When we went to the park it started to rain so we had to go to the warm and welcoming cafe! Great service! Chips and gravy were so yummy on a cold and rainy day and the coffees/ chai latte were so good. Perfect temperature! When the rain stopped they let us go back to the park using the same ticket! All the staff at the souvenir shop, park and the cafe were so helpful and friendly! Souvenir shop got lot of interesting hand crafted toys and board games and a variety of souvenirs. A must visit place on the way to Barossa!
Excellent entertainment for Adults and Children. Even let you take your own pet dog. Thoroughly entertaining.
I have been here twice now and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. Very kid friendly, plenty of animals to feed, cafe and a real toy factory
大摇马是阿德莱德的一个景点,主要是这里聚集了技术工的设计和制造比较优秀的儿童木头玩具。附近还有一个动物园,所以,是小朋友们必须去活动的Grand Rocking Horse is a scenic spot in Adelaide, which mainly gathers technicians to design and manufacture excellent children's wooden toys. There is also a zoo nearby, so it is a place where children must go to activities.
Fabulous day with friends and family. Grandson loved feeding the animals. Great food and great playground. Everyone was super nice. Thanks guys.
I love the horse I climbed to the 1st floor which is to the red sleigh part. Then we went into the gift shop. It has lots of wooden toys to buy. I wish I had brought a puzzle kit. I did buy a tea towel to add to the collection at home. At lunch time I liked my toasties and the scones and my coffee. My group mate's had huge burgers and chips that looked nice. I also liked the animals. Sheep and an unusual bird with a long bent beak I've never seen a one of those before I don't know what it's called. Bedford social Saturday South group wants to thank the Big rocking horse site for this day out. The other two social groups will also be visiting this month too.
The Big Rocking Horse itself could have and should have a self propelled electric and or solar powered lift to the top or at least a manuaĺ lift for those who want the exercise. The Ramps were also on a dangerous incline.
Seth is 3 and a half loved it! The animals are sweet but as they tell you watch the llama spits and a bit cranky The animals love to be fed and follow you for a bit Playground is fun Loads of seating Look at the large toys at the back left Made in Australia and strong and hardy Loads of toys puzzles etc for all ages. EATERY clean and nice staff are lovely Parking plentiful Is was a great experience Will go again Price is $2 an adult children Seth's age free you will have to check for old children though Bags of food for the animals $2 each would suggest I bag might not do Seth liked to feed them a lot yes a lot. Beautiful memories to be made You can climb the rocking horse but I didn't Be brave its tall.
Great place to visit, a lot of cool things in the Toy Shop. Went here when I was younger with my family and now I visited with my own family still love it the Cafe is great to rest and a great view. Can't wait to go back.
Great family outing on a budget. $2 entry to go though the wild life section. Great cheap feeds though the cafe. Coffee was great on a rainy day.
A lovely place to go to clim the rocking horse and go feed the animal and if u have kids a lovely dam for them to mix with wild life
It is a cheap close encounter with some wildlife including kangaroo, wallaby, alpaca, peacock. However, the turtle dam was completely empty no turtles in sight. A lot of animals hiding or missing and it was toward the end of the day so a lot of them were not up for petting or performing their advertised tricks (talkative birds not talking etc). The horse is quite underwhelming for a party of 2 adults and costs a small fee to climb - kids might enjoy it though. Wildlife park is worth the entry fee even if we only saw a few animals.
I went to they big rocking horse yesterday and there was this really nice employee that worked near the big horse and he looked my age. I'm the tall girl if anyone is reading this please help me find him so i can get his snap
An absolutely brilliant wildlife sanctuary. Really inexpensive and great for children. The kangaroos and wallabies come right up to you and feed from your hands
