Had Focus derailier hanger in stock and fitted it at short notice all for a very reasonable price. Fantastic service. Highly recommended.

Came in during TDU for a trek demo. The trek guys were great but the shop staff were friendly and efficient too in my dealings with them. Would happily return! Shop has a great collection of kit for sale.

Please don’t support this crooked bike store!

I called up on Friday 11/8 to check the price to get the nipples of one wheel (24 spoke) changed out. Received a quote for approx. $30 +Cost of nipples estimated around $2 per nipple.

Dropped off the wheel on Saturday, stripped of cassette, tyres and wheel tape (all that was required was changing nipples out) and made a point of double checking the quote of approx. $30+ parts. I also asked for a call back regarding a price to change out the bearings.

I received no communication all week, so I called up Friday and firstly was told they weren’t sure where my wheel was, after it was found I was told it was being brought back to the Norwood store from the city and I would get a call when it was returned. I asked for extra nipples to be added for spares and that my wife would pick them all up the next day.

Come 330pm Saturday I had received no contact yet again so I called up, once again was told wasn’t sure where my wheel, after they found it I was informed that they had performed a ‘wheel rebuild’ and I would be charged $168. $120 for labour and $48 for parts.

Obviously shocked at the difference, I questioned; had bearings been changed, spokes been changed, something other than what I asked for and was quoted for? No, and there is nothing we can do for you was the answer.

Of course my wife picked it up and received no extra nipples and upon inspection I have found that the wheel isn’t even true.

All I can do is make an impassioned plea that if you take your business to bicycle express please keep one hand on your wallet because you can be sure they’ll be trying to rob you!

In Adelaide from interstate & wheelchair brakes needed adjustment. Within minutes the friendly, understanding staff adjusted & off we went. Thanks Bicycle Express for your friendly & fantastic service

Sam and Darcy provided a service to rival that of a Michelin star restaurant. My service was completed promptly with perfect communication regarding anything unusual. 10/10 would go back.

The best bike store in town with the friendliest and most helpful staff. Most of the staff are serious riders, but they'll go out of their way to help everyone.

Fixed my bike in a jiffy!

Know very little about bikes and cycling and looking to get my first bike since I was at school many years ago. Went in today and they were so helpful, spent loads of time explaining options, prices, what else I’d need and trying out a few examples. No pressure, just trying to get me the best bike for the riding I’d like to do.

Lovely shop with lots of stock and friendly staff! Called in to grab myself a pump after recently moving and everyone was so helpful. 10/10 would recommend

I assembled my own bicycle online but brought it over to the shop to check my work (especially the tires for reassurance), and purchase a few items locally. The sales person there said I did a decent job, and that my tires felt suitable and it didn't need to be as 'inflated' as it was a common misconception to overinflate tires. Well.taking it to a different bike shop, it turned out my tires were very flat (which was probably why I struggled bicycling around town). The prices, while I supported the local establishment, were very high and I did wish I did shop around beforehand.

Elsie is an absolute legend, as are all of the team, and I will keep referring people to BE.

Ellse loves what she sells. A good shop is one where they recommend products they use themselves! Looking forwards to taking my new gravel tyres for a spin in local conditions!

As a funny aside, the two customers to my left were been offered a mullet build, perhaps to go with the haircuts they were sporting

Some of these guys are friendly enough but they are just way more expensive than anyone else in town,
I’ve bought 5 bikes from them now & im sure it must be new management because they really don’t understand customer loyalty,
I bought another bike here recently & they said we can’t do anything with the price but we will discount the accessories heavily,
When I got home I found that the accessories were discounted 2% We are ready to buy a top of the line e bike too so they will not get that purchase
I’ll be shopping back in Mitcham next time
Also the girl that manages the store is so rude.

It's an amazing store, has what you need and the staff knows something about bikes.

I'm really wondering where they're getting Trek Supercalibers and some really expensive Enduro and XC bikes from. They even got Lefties if you want to sell a limb to afford one.

Greeted by Ryan - very friendly, on spot being specific with my bikes problem. Checked the tyre and found tiny glass pieces! Different methods to figure it out.

Figured a problem with my rim and sorted that too!

I'm done and good to ride again in 20 mins!

The staff and service at Bicycle Express' city store are second to none. They are knowledgeable, genuine and really want your bike and kit to work for you. Dropped by this morning as one of my cleats had come loose. Very helpful, replaced pedals and cleats with no fuss while I enjoyed a coffee. Excellent customer service!
