Benny's American Takeaway reviews
54 The reviews drew us to Benny’s. We were unpleasantly disappointed when we arrived to find a large room with interesting decor and tables set up towards the sides.
We ordered chicken burgers and loaded chips. The deluxe loaded chips were the best (truly) but they came in a plastic basket which meant all the sauce and topping was pushed out the holes of the basket as we ate. A takeaway box would have been better. The burgers were okay. A single air con was on and struggled to cool down a large space in 30 degree weather.
The toilet was out the back and I got stuck in when the handle wouldn’t open, despite not closing the door from the inside (as stated outside the door).
Great burgers. Amazing Service. Just Loved it. Most be the only great place for burger. Just like a wow! Enjoyed playing pool too.
I usually don't write reviews but it's so disappointing. Ordered bulldog combo got no drink, ordered wings it had no seasoning except a bunch of herbs, no salt at all! Add hot sauce to that got tomato sauce instead!
We recently attended this venue on a Thursday afternoon. The staff were friendly enough however for a $42 lunch, it was quite disappointing. We ordered jalapeno bites, chicken tenders with 'garlic and herb sauce' and a Fat Boy burger as a dine in meal.
The venue was clean and tidy, albeit empty with us and one other table of 4.
The jalapeno bites were good, exactly what I would have expected for a standard frozen product.
The chicken tenders were a chicken breast and had good flavour however were quite thin and dry, some bites were cold and the sauce had no liquid. It was garlic and herbs cooked down into a paste and put over the top.
The burger was large and came with a side of chips. The chips were cooked fresh and had a healthy dose of seasoning on top. The burger itself had bacon on it although the menu didn't indicate that it would. The pattie and the brisket were both quite dry and not hot and was drowing in bbq sauce. The onion wasn't quite cooked enough for us.
Overall, it was disappointing and not what we had hoped.
Great experience. Had a lot of fun with friends. Nice music and pool table made a good ambience.
I ordered the spicy veggie burger and it was really good, it felt like india. The ambience here is quite good and I really enjoyed the time which I spent here.
We loved the place. We had a birthday party with 50 guests there and everybody loved it. Great food with very large meals. $8 beer on tap. Chips, chicken wings, burgers and wraps were all amazing. We strongly recommend it.
Just had the worst chicken burger I’ve ever eaten. The chicken was burnt to almost black. Dry. No flavour what so ever. Bacon was completely forgotten. Was charged almost $40 for a crispy hot chicken burger meal on Uber eats. Feeling extremely ripped off and will not be returning to the franchise.
Very casual place with tasty food at reasonable prices. A good place to bring a group of kids!
Ordered from Uber eats, terrible! My burger was soggy, the patty was split into three bits, they were so grisly not nice to eat at all. They forgot the chips & the shakes were so sweet I couldn’t drink it. $70 for 2 burgers and shakes, what a joke. Would not recommend
Very good burgers, excellent chips, staff are very friendly and professional.
Can't fault this place.
Highly recommended.
Would not recommend the St Morris store because:
A) they do not know if they are located at st morris or magill when selecting their store via The phone (option 3) - website said open until midnight but wouldn’t accept online orders at 11pm
B) They cannot speak English.
C) They cannot speak English
It’s really not hard to after answering the phone to say ‘we are closing soon’ instead of phone silence and hanging up…multiple times.
Bennys American burgers…. Hahah, nothing American about it.
I really liked this place. Very cool aesthetic. Very delicious food. It's a great place to just hang out.
The food here is amazing! My daughter ordered the tenders and well… Would highly recommend! (They have pool and foosball as well)
Excellent chips fried to near perfection: crispy skin with soft interior. Burgers are good but even better if served hotter.
Visited on a thursday night and the place was deserted! Not sure if this place gets alot of instore customers, but if most nights are anything like when we visited, they should consider downsizing the dining area to make it more comfortable, the space is way to big! The food was tasty and fresh, no complaints there! Seemed to get alot of online orders too.
A really good burger shop. Burger was super juicy along with fresh tomato and lettuce.shakes were on point and remain one of the best I have ever tried. Highly recommend.
First time try Benny's burgers and am very impressed. Gourmet burger that was cooked when we ordered it and the thick cut chips were very filling. Loved!
One of the best burgers in Adelaide. The patty is juicy and full of flavours, and there's no overliance on sauce, and the ratio is perfect.
Benny’s burgers has delicious burgers, I would say one of the best. Love the cute decor/ambience and very friendly service. They have great Milkshakes too. My favourite burger (s) is the benny's beef burger and crispy chicken burger. Highly recommend it. Thank you,
