Benjamin on Franklin Hotel reviews
46 Absolutely disgraceful.
A reunion was organised at this hotel, some of the people didn't show up. The organiser of the event was told that he had to pay for their meals even though they didn't attend, then he was told he couldn't have the meals to take home as they would go bad.
Pretty poor treatment from the staff.
Definitely wouldn't recommend this place.
Spent a week in Adelaide staying near the Benjamin and visited many times. Highly recommended: nice atmosphere, great staff and the food was really good.
Simple pub food done well and very reasonably priced.
There were 20 of us eating and everyone’s meal was well presented and well cooked.
Thank you also to the staff who let me bring a birthday cake for my daughter and then went above and beyond adding the strawberries and candles and presenting it so well despite being busy.
Your kindness was noted and appreciated.
Did the quizmeisters quiz. It was the smallest quiz venue with only 4 teams but the host had lots of energy and it was a fun evening
We had a lovely time in the beer garden. The music set was great, food was delicious and drinks were flowing.
Booked a ladies lunch about 14 people. Staff were very friendly and service was good. Food excellent.they have re decorated and I was very sad to see the library room gone.it lost its quaintness.
Slightly overcooked schnitzel but salad was good, amongst the motorbike shops, so expect to see/hear a Harley or two.
Great food, good service and a nice environment with street tables, front bar, balcony and a beer garden.
Omg so good!
Such a lovely warm and inviting atmosphere.
Sitting out side in the warmth of the sun sipping one of there many craft beers and enjoying the beautiful food.
Blissful!
Great place to go with work or friends.
5 out 5.
I had the haloumi burger and broccoli bites, YUMMY!
We had a lovey 21st here, and are very happy with the professional and friendly service from Isiah and Jamie. Thank you!
Bought the eye fillet steak, cost $38. It was tough as leather boots. Mentioned it to the bar attendant and she so kindly offered me fries in replacement of it. As if fries cost $38. Very disappointing. Wouldn't recommend this place at all, they couldnt get rid of us quicker enough. But happy to take our money.
Thank you to Isiah and the team for helping host a successful 50th birthday upstairs in the Boston Room. Granted everyone was on the balcony, taking in the warm night and watching the lights of Adelaide, but it really made for a wonderful party. The bar staff were professional and accommodating. Thank you!
Enjoyed dinner here with my partner last night (a Thursday). Staff were attentive and prices reasonable for a pub. She had a snitty (Panko crumbs?) and I had Sausages and mash - both classics, and both very enjoyable. Yummy meals.
There was a number of older guys with their Vespas catching-up next to us, and we had a chat with some of them. The place had an open, friendly feel.
Thanks team.
Seems like it’ll be a decent place but drink glasses were unwashed. Lip stains on both our glasses and green bits of veges stuck on one. We were going to eat here but now completely put off.
Excellent for group catch-ups, friendly accommodating staff and awesome meals. Try the Lemon Pepper Squid, it never disappoints!
This is a diamond in the rough staff are excellent and product knowledge is exceptional and very accommadating. But with all the amazing features of this pub there are down sides the lay out is a little bazaar but they make it work with their beer garden a little oasis in a bustle of the city well worth spending some time looking and listening to the vibe of the place.
Great place. Great staff. Asked for a drink not on the menu. Didn't bat an eyelid, looked it up and nailed it. Though my recommend.
This is one of my locals, honestly such a good vibe.
The staff are always so kind and willing to help, the place itself is clean and quite hip, I'm yet to eat the food there but I've heard it's great!
I will update this once I've eaten their food! (:
Great job to the staff and managers you all do amazing work, keep it up!
Fantastic local pub. Food is delicious and they’re always willing to work with our challenging allergies. We also had a 21st here in November and they’re not only great to deal with, but the venue itself just has a cool, funky city vibe.
Would definitely recommend for a beer or a function.
What a treasure. A truly grand old traditional pub with friendly and attentive staff that make you feel welcome and at home.
Vonnie the DJ played some awesome 70s & 80s music upstairs that set the mood to a nice chilled atmosphere, well done.
I was only there for a few end of week drinks on the balcony but will certainly be returning to try their food and spend more time real soon.
Grab a few friends and enjoy a chilled evening here, you will be doing yourself a favour.
Well done people
