Belair National Park reviews
23What a great place to take your family. Kookaburras and kangaroos around, the kids loved to see them.
Really well labelled walking tracks and maps, pram friendly on Lorikeet & Valley Routes. We had small babies, one in a pram and one in a carrier. Nice easy walk, remember to look up as there might be some Koalas up in the tree tops.
Only catch, this was the only park we found had an Entry fee. You could park your car across the street across and walk into the park free.
Beautiful park, a lot of trails differing in length and difficulty, spotted a couple kangaroos and koalas too:) recommend! Missing some drinking fountains though…
Hiking or just an easy walk, there is something available for everyone with a variety of tracks to embark on.
The entry fee with a car is $12.50 ($10 concession), however, it is possible to park outside the gate and walk in for free.
If doing the latter, then there are multiple entry points. It is also possible to hire small sections for the day which have picnic tables and toilets.
I did the waterfall walk, which was steep and rocky, and took me close to 4 hours, including a lunch break. It was disappointing not to see water flowing, though
I love be this park, I have so many fond memories with friends cooking bbq, playing tennis and just wondering taking in the sight.
Great place for families, children, seniors, dogs on leashes, walkers and bike riders too. Great coffee from the icecream can and a wonderful native nursery. Also has Old Government House and garden open sometimes. Beautiful native scenery, wildlife, kangaroos and birds.
Gorgeous, adventure playground is fantastic, tons of walking trails, emus! A great place for a visit. Bird life is wonderful.
Good for hiking, biking horse riding and walking. Plenty of tracks. There's a eco tunnel which you can go through it.
It's a real gem to head to. Close to CBD, but in the Adelaide Hills. Plenty of facilities like tennis courts and basketball courts plus gas fired BBQs and shelters. Even the toilets were reasonably clean.
Don't forget to book ahead for courts etc.
I love this place. It is my go to for all native shrubs. They have a huuugggee range which they group into ground cover, shrubs, big plants and climbers. There is a mix of tube stock and large more established plants. The prices are very very good and makes gardening on a budget easier.
If you have kids check out the small playground and cubby at the back.
Large family friendly park with comprehensive amenities, set in a naturally cool valley and surrounded by native bushland. Nursery featuring native plants is also within the park. Many walking tracks and bike paths to choose from aswell as a large playground
It is a beautiful place with beautiful trees and it has kangaroos and emus and it has lot's of Tennis court to play and big picnic areas and big parks to play.
Great park, dog friendly (on leash)
native nursery with in the park, you no longer need to pay to visit the nursery.we'll done.
A wonderful local treasure in Belair SA. Fabulous walks, cycling, sporting facilities and the opportunity to see a range of native wildlife, including kangaroos, koalas and emus. Lots of birds too. Great playground for the kids too.
Great nature for family fun day picnic
Barbecue, tennis courts, lake,
Great for hiking and biking
We visit almost every other weekend
Highly recommended
The best kept secret for nature lovers in Adelaide. Been hiking since I was a kid at school. There are endless trails to memorise and a plethora of options for different family groups. Breath it in!
A national park with fabulous recreation areas and you can bring dogs in on a leash. Huge amounts of birds and other wildlife, kangaroos, koalas, emus
Playground for kids is not maintained and probably outdared too, also not much to cheer about its supface area as kids do get bored quickly its playground.
Great national park. Very accessible and free to enter on foot. Lots of pram friendly walks and can always spot koalas
