Beachside Holiday Park reviews
23I love this park from your cabin or caravan you can walk to the beach we saw whales splashing it was the best the water park was epic we went horse riding that was right near it was so peaceful at night the basketball court you can se horses go past I recommend staying here
Enjoyed my time there, won’t stay again. Over priced for what’s on offer. I know a lot more parks that have more for kids including water parks jumping pillows bike tracks and swimming pools that are lots cheaper.
I have mixed thoughts about this place. It is right on a delightful beach. Just out of Normanville and close to other great spots. You can duck across to Victor Harbor and wine country is close by.
There is a sense of community in the park.
New water park for the children.
The cabins on the other hand have seen better days with the one i was in showing wear and tear including the fridge and gas stove and stove top.
The A/C was a modern split system. Bonus on the hot days we had.
Overall 3.5 perhaps 4 if i actually tried the water park.
Poor cleanliness of cabin including dirty dishes in the cupboard on arrival, broken and rusted shower fittings, broken light, air conditioner broke down in the heat with no compensation or customer care and forced us out the cabin to fit the new one on the last day of our stay so it would be ready for the next guests. Water park closes at 5pm even in summer with no sign to indicate this and staff wait and pressure you while you gather your belongings and children. No pool or jumping pillow and awful customer service. Will never stay here again.
Great location and reasonably well maintained caravan park. They have spent a lot of money on the water park - but they could have added a swimming pool as well to go with it. The cabins are good sized, not too close to each other. And the beach is just walking distance. Good for a couple of nights stay.
Brilliant experience for young and older. Minutes to the beach, easy access. Water park so much fun for everyone. Close to great food and local wineries and breweries. Will definitely recommend to others and probably come again
Beautiful site where we are but wouldn't be a park for us in the school holidays. Great for a family
Really great time had by my 4 year old son at the water slides. Great place Ina. Great little town.
Broken glass, spiders, cobwebs, waste and blood on our sheets? Can't even identify what it is. Uncleaned dishes, no jug to put the water in. Internet is practically non existent in the cabins. Not worth the price. Wouldn't come here again. It's been no less than 24 hours and we all wish to return home.
The best caravan park in Normanville, & one of the best I've ever stayed at.
Located on The Cape Jervis Road, this fabulous park is a real gem. It's right on the beach, with private beach access just a minute walk along the footpath over the dunes.
I've stayed here 3 or 4 times, & each time, I never want to leave. It can get busy in the holidays, so book ahead. It's lovely & quiet in October, & you have the beach to yourself.
The park itself is quite big, with a range of cabins to choose from with outdoor decks, plus powered & unpowered sites. It's beautifully positioned, with cabins closest to the beach adorned by glorious gum trees, & every time I've stayed there, I've encountered inquisitive lizards, & very talkative magpies.
The cabins are spacious, comfortable & adequate, & the undercover decks provide both sun & shade. If the wind is blowing in the right direction, & you leave a window open, you can enjoy an ocean breeze at night.
The park has a fabulous games room, for little or big kids, like myself, with a ping pong table, arcade games, etc, & there's a huge rustic lounge with a large open fireplace for cosy Winter nights. The kitchen is also big, complete with barbeques.
When you walk over the dunes & see the beach, you'll think you've died & gone to heaven. It's picture perfect with gorgeous views in both directions. Perfect for morning, afternoon or evening walks, working on your tan, swimming, or even fishing.
You can easily walk along the beach to Normanville from here, & there's also a lovely walking track 5 minutes down the beach, which will bring you back to the park. You often see horse trail rides, as they are located next door to the park.
Beachside caravan Park is just a short drive to Cape Jervis, & Victor Harbour.
I highly recommend this park, & it's such a beautiful spot on The Fleurieu Peninsula.
Will NEVER book with this caravan park ever again. Booked and paid one night deposit, had to cancel booking on 11.3.20. Still had 43 days till booking date. Website says deposit will be refunded if more than 30 days, i checked just before cancelling. They got back to me on the 12.3.20 to tell me i will only get 75% of my deposit back. I noticed they changed their website refund policy after i cancelled. I recommend no one books with this place because they will scam you of your deposit if you need to cancel.
Great place to get away. It's peaceful and only a short walk from the beach. Bbq facilities are brilliant and plenty of space for a few families to use at once. Staff were friendly and the water park for the kids is excellent. So if you're looking for a place to get away that's not too far but far enough from the city for a long weekend or school holidays, look no further.
I have lived here for the past six years and absolutely love it. There are plenty of things for the big kids and little to do. New water park playground games room a short walk to the beach for fishing etc you can also enjoy a horse or pony ride right out the front or if you cross the road enjoy an 18 hole golf course. There are also annual properties for sale.
They say there is ocean views. This is completely untrue. The cabins are nice enough. The nearby beach is not great for swimming.
Awesome place to bring the family. Budget accommodation with a chilled out atmosphere. Great for a beach fish for Gar and Tommies or a snorkel over the reef.
The games room is big with plenty of things.
The kitchen area is really large. Beautifully set out well equipped and Clean. Laundry room same. Also the bbque area is very big for large numbers and same great standard as kitchen. I loved the colour scheme in the toilet shower block.
Overall the park has many cabins and only a small caravan tent area with grass and trees. Bitumen Road only narrow so a one way
System would easily solve that.
Clean, quiet, next to beach, excellant facilities with two of the best camp kitchens you will see. Surprisingly only 8 powered sites fo caravans, so book in advance.
Fantastic cabins very close to the beach lovely sunsets check out the sunrise photos about 12 caravan sites very large camp kitchen with open fire clean toilets and showers, staff are very welcoming and friendly.
This is our regular holiday spot.so close to victor harbour to visit and surrounding towns.excellent beach.grounds impeccable and cabins very clean and bright.what else could you wish for? Forgot to tell you. They have the best camp kitchen I have seen anywhere.wood fire. Games for children. BBQ ' S fridges for food keeping and separate fridge for bait and storing fish.good laundry facilities, and well protected from the elements ans safe for children
Great views and very pretty guardens. Great for beach goers and familys with teenagers or kids who love the beach. Currently not many children activity places but they are putting in a water slide and bucket at some point soon. The facilities are great, huge bbq area abd camp kitchen with a fireplace. Beautyful. Could do with a jumping pillow ir go kart hire for the families tho.
