Bayside Family Medical Practice

I attended this clinic while presenting a range of severe health issues, only to receive unethical mistreatment. Dr Kirsten Missen has no knowledge of eating disorders. In my time with her, I was made to feel ignored and misunderstood. Her nasty words relating to my eating disorder left me extremely triggered. I then resorted to my unhealthy eating habits. I did not receive the help I needed. This practice dismisses eating disorder affected clients. Do not go here if you have an eating disorder!

I spelt out “eating disorder” to them on the phone, and they still didn’t know what it was.

I am so upset about how they minimised me amd my issues. I can’t believe how nastily they treat people with eating disorder.

“You’re a slim young girl. ” No, I’m sitting close to my death bed and throwing up everything I eat.

Physiotherapist Mahesh Kuppuswamy is simply too good. The entire process was explained in detail which gives a heads up start to regain your confidence back, all the sessions were conducted as explained. The reception staff are super friendly not even once was there an average service from them kudos team. Great place. The only flip side would be the parking.

Came in with severe pain from leg injury.
Assumed I was a junkie a refused to help.
Didn’t even do an assessment disgusted with doctor
Now sitting in hospital after surgery from a prolapsed disc

My husband saw Megan Soutter an exercise physiologist who is "passionate about helping her clients" Garbage! 8 days on he has not received your email with exercises that would give him relief for his back pain. He is in a lot of discomfort and still waiting. You were quick to charge for a service we did not receive. I would not reccommend this practice as our experience is lack of patient care.clients"

Awful treatment and discrimination of a patient of over 11 years. With my partners family using this 'family practice' for 30+ years. Was made to wait outside for an appointment at 37 weeks pregnant in Summer. I wasn't even sick. I was there as I had to make a mental health care plan. Due to my anxiety.

Once inside (ironic as I had to wait outside) I was ridiculed and told I would get VERY sick if I didn't have a certain medication.

I cried and left. Without the health care plan. Anxiety is even worse now.

Myself and baby are well but to get my caesarean scar/post natal check and for him to have his inoculations we need to be outside. If a Dr feel comfortable in seeing us. Found another local lovely Glenelg-based practise to see us.

This isn't looking after people. Awful.

One of the rudest, least knowledgeable and unhelpful receptionists I have ever come encountered. I pity anyone relying on these guys for healthcare

Was booked in for an appointment with the Clinpath and cannot review or comment on any of the drs at this practice as I did not make it past reception. I reported to reception as instructed by signs on the doors and was greeted by two rude receptionists. They were unhelpful, had a lack of empathy & made feel unwelcome. Will never return.

My time at Bayside Medical has been one of support and understanding. A far cry from the last practice I attended who would not or could not address my growing issues with my Fibromyalgia. I have been very fortunate to have an amazing doctor in Zlata Mujic. Zlata is professional.approachable and listens to her patients. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Thankyou. T

I have been attending the practice for many years now, any doctor you book with will not disappoint. If my regular doctor is unavailable I am always attended to and made to feel important and always receive a personal, thorough experience. However as someone who does value customer service, every reception staff member I have interacted with has been rude, and stand offish every time whether it is on the phone or over the desk. I am made to feel small and a major inconvenience to them by checking in, paying or completing paper work that they ask of me. It is so unfortunate but I have found myself going to other practices when I can just to avoid the reception staff, I am very much considering moving practices and am on the hunt for a new GP as the reception staff never fail to dampen my experience every single time I attend. As someone going to see a doctor or a psychologist, you are in a vulnerable position and the last thing you need is to be made to feel uncomfortable or unimportant. Thank god for the Hot Doc app.

The doctors are all fantastic but the reception staff leave a lot to be desired. They are abrupt, rude and make you feel like you're intruding on their day when they have to serve you.

I had my Covid injection this morning. I felt safe and confident as a result of the excellent service I received from the welcoming person, nurse and doctor. - thorough and professional. I recommend this practice to everyone.

One of the best practices I have ever used. All staff are professional, courteous and caring.
Dr Goodfellow especially is kind, caring and thorough. Highly recommended if you are looking for a reliable GP.

Just had the first shot of Astra Zenica COVID-19 vaccine at Bayside Family Medical & Musculoskeletal Practice - well organised check in - dedicated nurse and doctor - with appointments waiting time is minimal - the practice could easily do 50 vaccinations in a morning.
Shame the practice allocation is only 50 doses per week!
BTW - no reactions - looking forward to receiving the second dose in 12 weeks time.

I have been associated with Bayside for over 20 years and they never fail to surpass my expectations. Great people.

I've seen 2 GPs here (Dr Meredith Thompson & Dr Kirsten Missen) and am very happy with their care and knowledge. They take their time to listen to my concerns and I always feel involved in any decisions.

Bayside medical has been my choice of healthcare for 10yrs now. I find it a comfortable and friendly environment. It is great to be able to book my own appts online, and also call them up to be on a cancellation list if I need to get in quicker, which has been very successful for my family and I. All the drs have been very attentive to my needs and are all very approachable.

The practice manager and staff have all worked very hard on ensuring the medical centre COVID-19 safe.

I started seeing Dr K Missen at Bayside after a disappointing experience at my last doctors clinic and she is fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable, very thorough and always friendly. I highly recommend her as a general GP and a shared care GP for pregnancy as well.
