Basecamp Cafe Burnside

I lived this place. The food was great and the drink was delicious. I would definitely recommend for a hearty breakfast. Portion size is great. Definitely worth a visit.

After being treated like garbage across the road, Base Camp welcomed me with An amazing smile and hello. Beautiful coffee and beautiful service

This is our new local - the proprietor chatted to us the whole time and introduced us to some locals. It was fabulous! They have a great range of wines and spirits, and they are open from 6am for coffee 7 days a week! Love it!

Delightful spot to relax in the sun and enjoy a coffee and cake after our walk to WaterfallGully. The extra heating was appreciated

This is the 3rd time I have seen the owner Boris loose it with a customer. He has real anger management issues and should either not be in business or get help. This time he yelled and ‘shirt-fronted’ an older woman. My colleagues and I were having an early morning coffee and she was with some mountain bike cyclists. We were concerned that he was going to punch her. We now get great coffee and customer service across the road at Ballaboosta and will never return.

Base Camp is a place we visit often when in Adelaide and always have had a lovely breakfast. Today however was very disappointing! Cold hard poached eggs, bacon that could not be cut through and burnt zucchini patties.

It's been a while since I visited Basecamp, and it seems nothing has changed. The staff are most unwelcoming and disgustingly rude. We had a croissant and coffee and not one interaction we had with staff was pleasant. Won't be giving it a third chance and I would suggest you don't give it a first.

Poor Food, Terrible Service. The owner was rude and even aggressive when I complained about the lunch I had been served. I would have been happy to order something different (and far more expensive) but was not given the opportunity before my money was returned to me by slamming it down on the bench. I live locally but will never go to Base Camp again. Not a nice experience at all.l

Great little cafe in Burnside that I've been to a number of times. Super friendly staff. Simple layout. Amazing menu items. Well done guys! Keep it up.

Banana Berry Smoothie was delicious & Cafe was comfortably set up for casual dining inside & out. Mostly locals, good choice of fresh food

I normally have egg Benedict for brunch after along walk. They didn't have salmon, so had to have a vegetarian big brekkie instead.

Cappuccino milk was too hot, and milky. Suspect milk was borderline for temperature. Food was good, but would like broader choice for lunch. Will try again

Popped in for a takeaway coffee, which was made with efficiency. The fire was on which made for a cozy spot to wait while the coffee was brewing. I perused the menu while I waited and it didn't disappoint, I plan to return with some friends for brunch soon.

Really lovely place awesome pumpkin soup. Love the feel of the place and most helpful, friendly sweet staff. Highly recommend this cafe.

It was not open even though the sign said it was open for the whole day. My kids were gutted and crying the whole way back!

So was just refused service here on the basis of not wearing a mask upon entry. Can someone here please explain to me the difference in wearing a mask while standing and being served and that of sitting without a mask being served? Explain to me the logic please. Do Covid molecules only operate effectively at higher altitude?

Foods and drink were okay but the male waitress was unfriendly today. A bit dissapointment because we were there after lunch and that place was not busy. I won't come back there again for sure and I don't recommend this place to my family and friends.
