Barossa Farmers Market reviews
53Busy weekend farmers market. Produce from the Barossa and River land available. We were there at10am and it was busy. Parking can be challenging. Take your own bags is always recommended. Great produce at reasonable prices. There is generally some form of entertainment, 6 piece strings band there while we were.
Really good vibe with lots of wholesome stalls. Prices and quality better than what you can buy at a supermarket.
Few stalls closed between Christmas and new years. Which is understandable as I know they would have been busy leading into Christmas
Disappointing. We were really looking forward to this market on New years eve day. Half the stall holders were closed, coffee booth was rude and very slow and $24 for 2 smallish egg and bacon rolls. Had to go to the supermarket afterwards as we needed supplies. You try to support local and are prepared to pay more, but how can you when the produce isn’t there? 3 stars for the stall holders that were there.
I was expecting it to be bigger with more fruits and vegetables (only 3 small stalls), the others stalls include bakeries, meats and sausages, venison products, local gin, as well as the jams, sauces, local produces etc.
A good place to have a nosy around, have coffee and a bite to eat for an hour.
Busy again and full of vendors since COVID isn't such an issue. You have to go early for the Sourdough breads, awesome Gumshire Metwurst, Jay's Chilli delights and the Venison Chorizo Chipolatas were delicious!
Amazing markets. We were staying nearby and travelling from interstate and kept hearing about the matkets. Glad we went.
Small and only few stalls but very tasty treats and a lovely morning stop before the wineries.
Great choice of local fruit, vegetables, pastries and small goods. Go early to avoid the rush and there's more parking available at the back of the big shed.
Fantastic market. Friendly, welcoming stall holders. Great local produce, fantastic variety and quality. Wira Lea Farm has the best fresh meat and the butcher is so helpful. Their burgers are also amazing!
Not much of a market, guess due to covid not many stalls no breakfast/lunch option.only hot coffee - did not try
Good but most stalls just shutting shop well before 12. Got there at 1115 and the show is mostly over.
Nice little farmers market, only a few stalls however great quality produce and products on offer (coffee/baked goods/beef jerky and peperoni/fresh produce etc). Had a great time here!
Fabulous variety of mainly locally made foods & fresh produce. Get there early to secure your purchases!
We got there a bit late but still plenty of produce, bought sourdough, veggies and some lovely sauces and jams. Great coffee with beautiful country fresh creamy milk. Topped off our visit with some delicious Barossa Icecream company icecream
Lovely morning spent browsing the indoor and outdoor stalls. So many different stalls selling various local produce. Was a little disappointed that there were at least 5 stalls not open hence the 4 star instead of 5. But there was something for almost everyone
We meandered in looking for some brekky, coffee and produce for dinner. We had a sausage roll with was sooo flaky and buttery and with locally sourced pork molded with fresh herbs that exploded flavor in your mouth while increasing the smile on your mouth. The coffee was good but on the tepid side. We purchased home made dumplings and locally made Italian sausages for dinner, as well as some fresh vegetables and salad, though we missed out on the fennel! The dumplings were beautiful and juicy and the sausages very tasty.
Good fresh local products and at reasonable prices.
Organic and non organic available
Worth a look as we bought a few items
Small little market! If you have some spare time around, you can stop by. Several local produce and lots of apricot snacks and fruits!
