Barnacle Bill Torrensville

Our food wasn't the best this time. Garfish was dry. Chips not cooked properly and the burger was soggy. Normally the food here is great. I rang and put in a phone order and still had to wait in-store for 10-15 minutes.

Jelly was rancid and smelled like windex.ginger cashier girl was mean and had a spicy pick-me attitude.tell that gal to relax and have some barnacle bills.

A good serve of deliciously fried golden battered fish & and chips. The dining area was well presented, clean & tidy. The staff is very helpful, friendly and polite. A spot that all holiday makers should visit. Thank you.

Love this location. The restaurant is clean, friendly service and you can tell the oil is regularly changed.

All this for $17. Good value. Crumbed fish. Great customer service. Tartare is maybe lacking a little flavour.

2 (very small) garnish & chips for dine in. 1 small salt, no pepper and no lemon with little change from $19.

Been here a few times now, always quick and tasty with friendly service. We were the only ones eating too which I also like!

One of the best Barnacle bill stores in town, the seafood is always fresh and cooked perfectly, salads are in a whole league of their own, the shop is always clean and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be my regular store of choice.

Most times iv been there its all been very good, but the last time i went there the chips where not good but i will go back

We usually have Barnacle Bill for dinner every fortnight and the meals were amazing! But today we went there to get standard order. This time was very disappointed with the order, first the store missed a piece of the fish and still charged extra to replace the piece, then the grill fish only half of the size of crumbed fish, smaller than usual, only one sauce for 3 pieces of fish and less chips. Very very disappointing!

Wish i could give minus stars! Never going to this outlet again, I've been chucking up my guts all night from this horrendous food.fish was clearly off or old and chips were inedible and not to mention the customer service was a joke, staff were so rude! I've been going to bbs for years and never had anything like this happen to me before, thought i would support a new store well never doing that again.so disappointing.back to my regular outlet from now on

Dropped into BB Torrensville for lunch. 4 hours later.severe food poisoning. The first time I've ever had it. I ended up in hospital.endless hours of pain that I can only compare to child labour pain's. It had to be the biggest humiliation of my life when I was passing out, whilst vomiting and passing green diarrhoea for 12 hour's. It was Thursday 21st July 2022. I ate only 3 prawns 3 scallops and 3 calamari @ around 1300. I hadn't eaten anything else prior to that for 10 hours beside fluids. Hospital said it had to be the seafood. Sorry for this review.but it was life threatening. I'm distraught, and currently on a drip, dehydrated. The situation scared the life out of my teenage daughter, who had to call 000 when I was unconscious. Please be careful with the quality of your seafood and the handling of your product. I will never eat BB again.

All was fresh but I had asked for all fish to be well cooked but wasn't must have been too hard for cook to cook longer?

Impressive. The food was beautifully cooked, the staff were lovely and the service was quick. I had stopped going to Barnacle Bill as the food became really ordinary and thought I'd give this one ago as it looked new. So glad I did.

The menu choice here is somewhat limited compared to other Barnacle Bill outlets with the only fish option being Butterfish so somewhat disappointed seeing it's a Fish and Chip place. The usual Prawn and Calamari, a staple seemed a tad overcooked as were the chips tonight leaving it dry. Why they feature Vegan options without expanding on their core customer escapes me.
Service was good the staff friendly and the place is spotless so gained a star back for that.

Nothing better than fresh seafood with a good batter and crumb. Have visited multiple times since opening and always consistent. Also great crunchy chips not soggy. Even though gave 5 stars, still not happy with Barnacle bills choice to go with a new bun that is Chewy and tough to eat, so no more burgers for me unfortunately.

Dirty tables, no high chairs. Signage on bins is weird as, just pay for comingled waste, especially if you are going to make the customers clean tables.
