Barnacle Bill Family Seafood Restaurant reviews
65Amazing food, i would recomend you to try the best seefood and salad with heavenly atmosphere.
We purchased takeaway, the selection was amazing! Our fish, prawns, calamari, scallops and chips, were cooked to perfection! My salad was fresh crispy and tasty. We hope to dine in on our next visit. (Cash only for delivery)
Amazing value. We each had the $12.90 take away special on the board in the pic I have added. The salad was fresh, fish, calamari, prawns and chips cooked to perfection. We had one crumbed and one battered fish both were brilliant. If I was in town tomorrow I would come back. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the shop was a great set up for those who dine in either inside or outside. Such a great find. Thanks for a wonderful lunch!
Very unique place to eat nice and clean good service couldn't complain about anything
This place is amazing! From the former Church site to the brilliant staff and outstanding food. Make your day, week or year and stop here for a very generous and freshly cooked meal!
2 x whiting battered fish & chips was ridiculously expensive at $21 for a extremely small portion, it was disappointing as Hubby was left still starving. Tasted fine but certainly nothing fantastic to make you return while in the area!
Delicious food, helpful staff, and a quirky idea. We had the lunch special and still took leftovers home. Great value!
We stopped in here yesterday for the take away lunch special and were very pleasantly surprised! The service was great and the food was fresh, hot and delicious! We ordered our fish crumbed and everything was perfectly crispy crunchy right down to the last few fries that we couldn't finish. We've also never seen such an amazing selection of fresh salads anywhere and even though we had takeaway we were still able to eat in their alfresco area.
Had the Barramundi and chips. The Barra was quite heavenly. The chips were great too but weren't on the same level as the fish. I highly recommend the Church of Fish and Chips
Delicious fresh fish, prawns and calamari. I bought a lunch pack which came with the above, chips, a small salad and a can of coke for $12.90. Great value and definitely fresh.
We stopped for the lunch special and thoroughly enjoyed it (1 × fish, 3 x calamari, 3 x prawns, can of drink & salad $9.80 each) very good value, we sat out doors - the only thing is they need to 'encase' the vine roof with shadecloth or similar. It's ratty and scary. Cheers

We loved the lunch time seafood deal was that good we went back for it the second time on way home from Eyre Peninsula
Beautiful fish, nice seafood dressing all freshly made. Love the church it's in amazing
Beautiful food
And where else can I get a Gin with my fish and chips.from a church
Well worth a visit
Beautifully done food.and extraordinary salads
Clean good quality seafood without the oily after-taste. Great atmosphere under the vines and friendly service.
You have me converted- Will visit this church again!
What a lovely find on our travels through South Australia. The sermon sign outside 'church of fish and chips' got my attention and I had to inspect. Remnants of church furnishings deck out the heritage building. Beautiful stained glass windows transport you back to the 19th century. The staff were the friendliest I've come across. Super helpful and professional. We ordered the garfish and chips, honey chicken and sald sides. It was so tasty and fresh. Plenty of seafood selections. Would of been nice to dine upstairs but they were doing renovations. Definitely a must visit if you're road tripping!
Their $9.90 PACK (between the hours of 11am - 2pm ONLY but check that) is amazing value for money and has always been super fresh.
You get a piece of fish, chips, 3 calamari, 3 prawns, tartare sauce, a small salad of your choice and a can of soft drink of your choice!
Fantastic BATTER but you do have a choice of crumbed fish too.
Love love love their egg salad!
Also my hubby had the SCOTCH FILLET one night and it was cooked to perfection (he likes well done) and it was tender.
HAPPY CUSTOMERS
Crumbed fish had a strange taste - cooking oil off? At least the fish tasted great. The order had to be repeated several times before it was eventually understood.
It pays to ask a local! Local lafy recommend this place and all I can say is amazing! Chips don't taste like pil, they taste great, the local gosh taste amazing and perfectly cooked. The potatoe cakes are the best I've ever had. It's not 90% battet it has potato in it. Best fish. Highly recommend
A must if ever in Pt. Pirie worth every cent. Very reasonably priced, great service, huge portions, needed a doggy bag.
Everything freshly cooked and absolutely delicious especially the scallops which were huge. Definitely will be coming here again. Thanks for the best seafood platter I have ever had. The church is also very historic and renovated beautifully.
