Barnacle Bill

Ordered a prawn snack pack and chicken burger with the lot, worst meal I've had, old fries in both orders, nothing but coleslaw in my burger and small piece of chicken, poor quality, will be a long time before I go back, if ever!

Beautiful food as usual, fresh & no excess oil which is perfect. Service is always friendly & very quick. Deffinately recommend

My 90 year old mums favourite treat. The staff are always busy, but kind, and happy to adapt their packs to suit mum's wishes.
Food is served fresh, hot, plentiful and consistent.

We went there today and we were disappointed. We ordered snack pack but the chips was just a handful. A HANDFUL. We are in chip’s country so this was unacceptable. There were bones in my fish too. I thought it’s just that one but there were four. Good thing I didn’t choked on them. But staffs was polite and nice. Place was clean and service was on time. Not going back to Barnacle Bill though.

The food is always greasy and oily, yet also so dry. The shop is always dusty, greasy and dated. I’ve been a few times, hit and miss with the staff, often miss. Made me sick last time I went there. The salads and desserts look quite disgusting, I will not be trying them. Shop needs a good clean.

Over cooked prawns, and crumbed too thick. Average fries. Disappointing and won't be going back.

Not the best atmosphere and the staff can be a bit hit and miss, but the food is generally pretty good. Comes out quickly if you're on the run and is well-priced, especially their lunchtime deals. A big letdown in the restaurant is disposable wooden cutlery, this would be acceptable if I was sitting on a milk crate in a park but not in a restaurant.

I spent $68.00 on prawns, calamari and fish and chips yesterday. The fish smelt and the flesh was a dirty brown not a nice white flesh. Calamari was over cooked and very crispy and chewy like eating a piece of leather. Prawns were also over cooked and uneatable. What a waste of money. Will not be supporting this venue again after going there for years.

Have been going there for years, even after moving house. Great value and fresh. Not too greasy which we like and love the battered option.

Omg $50 for 5 bits of whiting. Plus more for chips and drinks.takeaway. We got 2 fish and chip meals and wine and beer and table service at the Junction hotel down the road for $60 and didn't have to wash up.

Service great.but food a little tasteless. I haven't had it for years and was disappointed.
Everything tasted the same.
Maybe that's why I hadn't had it for years?

Ordered meal was fine but potato salad which was the only choicewas like chewing on I don't know what could not eat it work all through town will try a different barnacle bill's next time as I love the prawns

Hadn't tried this place in years and craved barnies a few months ago, thought was average at best. Today mum was craving barnies so thought would give another crack though never again now. Food was tasteless, somehow have a metallic after-taste of all things. Not sure what happened as this barnies was one of the best around a few years ago. Sadly a shadow of its former glory, the coleslaw didn't even have dressing on it.

Value for money and quick efficient service. Thumbs up to the young girl who made sure customers followed Covid requirements. The food was great

Possibly the best barnacle bills in Adelaide my wife and have tried most of them and alway return to anzac highway staff are friendly restaurant is clean and food is good never over cooked.
