Barmera Lake Resort Motel

We always stay there for work trips near Barmera. Very nice and friendly people. Never had any issues

Terrible bed, had to pull my own camping bed to sleep. So a very expensive floor night. I have been here a couple of years ago and remembered that the beds back then were really bad as well, but at the time was only one night out of my bedroom and thought it was just a normal quality of motels. However, this time as we were travelling up to Sydney and Gold Coast and slept on a few motels paying similar price was able to really compare and there are many motels with much better beds, even the worse of them all, wasn't as bad as this one. Definitely not a comfortable stay at $128.

My dog and me loved walking along the lake EVERYTIME! Sad to leave such a beautiful place!

If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, this cheap motel is a decent option. The room was outdated with an old-style interior, but it served its purpose for my one-night stay. Even the bathroom was a bit on the older side. At only $110, it's a good value for the price. Just don't expect any fancy frills.

The Motel sits across the road, from Lake Bonney, an ideal location. Good rates, nice people run it, and it suits me nicely. Been here at least 5 times.

We stayed here in October 2022. The rooms were ok but the rest of the place is in such terrible condition. Reception was like an empty hotel bar with no furniture or anything for sale, brochures etc. It looks like there was a restaurant there at some stage. The BBQ area is terrible with most stuff either dirty or broken. The pool was not usable. The manager and cleaning staff were very nice and we enjoyed the room as it was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. If the other stuff was cleaned up and made usable then it would rate better.

Great room, very comy. Everything supplied in room. Great view of Lake Bonney. Great service. Very good.

We have come for the weekend for my husbands birthday, in all 5 rooms were booked, we were the first to book, arrived first, went to our rooms and found it to be very old looking, was clean but had that strong disinfect spray smell
Recent reviews had read were saying how it had been refurbed, older reviews were not as kind, so we went on latest reviews. It has 3 beds, 3 cups 3 glasses, 1 plate, 1 bowl 1 spoon? Bathroom door does not close properly, when walking on carpet with bare feet although it looks clean, besides some stains its very tacky under your feet. Mattress when laying on your side you can feel springs, my parent room the same the towel rail fell off when they dried their hands.
When our freinds arrived. They had lake facing rooms, we had oval facing. Their rooms were beautiful all freshly done up, nice beds and linen, electric blankets, big difference, if we hadnt seen our freinds rooms may have been different but if a group is booking you have to know we are going to compare. They did how ever give us rooms close to each other and were friendly on arrival, we are yet to check out and mention our disappointment, my thoughts are they are making there way around to update all rooms but would have been nice to know that before hand.

Good budget accommodation for your stay in the riverland. The rooms are basic but you can't beat the location.

A beautiful little motel great for any period of stay in Barmera. Has good room service, although arrives quite early in the morning, providing guests with all basic amenities. Pool is great for hot summer days whilst front facing rooms provide very scenic views of Lake Bonney. Great for family getaways.

Shower pressure was great but had no conditioner.
Fan and 2 light not working in the bathroom.
Had to go and buy fresh milk as only supplied small long life milk.
There was only 2 dining room chairs and there was 3 people.
Room badly needs updating.
Thought for the price you would get better then dirty plastic chairs outside.

Great value great location great staff. The view of the sunrise and sunset was worth the price of the room. The room was large clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean neat and the hot water was hot.
If you need a place to stay in barmera this is the place

The lady was accomodating and made it easy. The rooms are adequate - its dated but was clean. Price was reasonable. The location is perfect. Adjacent the excercise circuit and linear park along the lake foreshore.

Great location with view of lake bonney at front door. Clean and tidy, could do with an update though.

Great budget accommodation with fantastic views. Reception staff were terrific, good parking and a quiet location. The unit was perfect and well stocked with kitchen items. Will happily return later in the year.

For an older and cheap accommodation it was clean and fresh. Good shower and friendly service. I would stay there again.

The owners should be extremely happy with the way it is run. The staff are fantastic. Super helpful and go above and beyond for their guests. They even know our names, which is lovely and friendly. Can't wait to go back next year.

Cheapest in town so i guess you get what you pay for however the economy rooms are rather retro. This didn't worry me but being greeted by 4 spiders in the course of a 1 night stay wasn't so pleasant. While looking under the bed for more potential spiders i was a bit appalled to find a decade worth of dust and crumbs. Cleanliness could be improved
