Banh Mi Nhu Lan reviews
36Great place for quality Vietnamese food. Broken rice and Bo Ne are two of my favourite dishes here. Pho and their other soups are also highly recommended. Best Banh Mi in rads by a long shot.
My partner and I drove past this place many times so we decide to give it a try today (easter sunday). We ordered a broken rice and steak & egg, plus the 3 color dessert. Food is very disapointed fried egg way to oily and soggy, steak are raw, pork chop are dry and plain. Also most of the staff are very young and not really friendly at all. Good thing are This place doesn't apply surcharge for public holiday. However I won't be back again cause of the bad dining exprienced.
This is the second time they overcharged me. Its not cool for whatever the reason is. Food was okay. Just remember to check your bill.
Got treated disgracefully had a baby and was refused to sit down after ordering Vietnamese rolls.
Got told “Sit down on floor outside with baby”- (raining cold.)
To add to this there was no one sitting down inside.
We were about to buy way more food spring rolls drinks and banna fritter but after being spoken to rudely we left as unhappy customers.
Maybe the best Bahn Mi ever tried. Banlaced flavour and fresh ingredients.
Happy to say that service is improving and ingredients are fresh. Soups are clean and fragrant, nice place for a summer meal.
I decided to come and get the steak and eggs done rare. After I got my food I knew straight away that the food was not rare. The outside was cooked to much. I decided to cut the steak and it was fully cooked. I decided to take a bite and I couldn’t stop coughing after that
Friendly staffs with the variety of Vietnamese dishes. I eat this place at least once a week and usually order “Bun Mam”, very delicious with the taste is nearly same as Vietnamese’s taste.
I decided to come and get the steak and eggs done medium rare. It was a good place so far. But after when I got my food. The steak was fully cooked though I asked for a medium done steak. I decided to take a bite of the steak and after a bite I couldn’t stop coughing.
Who would put rice paddy herb in Pho? The Pho is not authentic nor taste good, that herb completely destroyed the dish. TERRIBLE, worst Pho so far in Adelaide! "Canh Bun", "banh canh cua" are bad and had the same soup base and taste like "bun rieu".
I decided to order steak and eggs medium done. I got the steak and eggs and I looked good. I decided to cut through the steak and it was fully cooked though I asked for the steak to be medium done. I decided to take a bite of the steak and after taking that bite I couldn’t stop coughing
Our new go-to place for Vietnamese food in Adelaide. Have tried most of the soups, most of the banh mi and snacks, and some of the vermicelli salads and com sets. Have also tried some of the made-to-order drinks. Favorites are the spicy pork & beef noodle (bun bo hue) and any of the soups with tapioca noodle. The meatball skewers - when available - are delish. Broth is consistently tasty, noodles firm and slightly chewy. Only slight improvement would be if they offered different sizing options like many of the other places on this stretch of road do - I would happily pay a few $$s more for a bigger bowl. Drinks also tend to be on the sweeter side, though I put that down to a matter of prefernce (I order bubble teas with half sugar too), &it's at least preferable to being too watery~
I have been going to this BANH MI shop for many years and I can HONESTLY recommend this shop as AWESOME the best in Adelaide.
I happily drive from Aberfoyle Park to the other side of the city to get the best Banh Mi Rolls ever!
Extremely amazing favour with good pricing for Vietnamese Food cuisine. The variety of dishes is definitely in a good range. They even give away home made Peach Ice Tea to give away as a table water. Amazing! The service is extremely fast and efficient. Definitely is a good choice for a Quick lunch. The dishes are traditional. The Charred grill selection is delightful. Specially their “Thi Kho” and “Canh Chua” are so traditional that would give you a Vietnamese feel. Loving it but one point need to look into is the cleanliness. Fully understand and accept it is a mid range food. However, Customers do expect.
Was here for dinner in the diner. Nothing special. I had the pho dac biec which was above average.wife had banh xeo which took ages to come out and was not worth the wait. It was soggy and lacked the burnt crispy wok taste and flavours. Kids had the pork chop rice which was below average. Would not return here for dinner. Stick to the lunch take away breads
Excellent customer services, friendly staffs and good food xx

This newly revamped Banh Mi Nhu Lan is our new favourite Vietnamese hangout. We've tried their Vietnamese Pancake, Steak and Eggs, Combo Pho and Pnomh Penh noodles and they were all deeellliiiiccciiioouusssssssssss. Service was also very quick and efficient even during their peak times! Their menu has many other dishes you don't come across in other Vietnamese eateries nearby, so we'll definitely be coming back here a few more times to try them, and will probably not stop as long as they keep on cooking the way they cook.
