Balmoral Reserve reviews
26 Great little park. There are several sections of the playground, some aimed at younger kids and others for older kids. There is also a half basketball court and enough space to kick a footy. The tennis courts are also available to use during the day.
There are lots of benches and BBQ areas for setting up.
Toilets, swings, little slides. Not sure about the weird climbing frame thing but the kids kinda liked it. Even has a basketball ring and tennis courts for sporty people. Would be a brilliant spot for a party/picnic/gathering.
This is a park that has everything you could want, a playground with massive play areas, BBQ's, undercover seating, tennis court aswell as toilets. Perfect for a Birthday party or just a place to play.
Perfect family place. Nice and shady but Need to fix the b b q s gave a lot of people stress today. One party even left because they couldn't cook.
Nice park, good open spaces, bins and fun playground. Undercover eating and BBQ. Pity about the European wasps.
Great place well maintained by council nice tennis courts BBQ available seating.public toilets always clean plenty of soap and disability toilets as well
Lots of room. Expansive grassed areas. Multiple covered areas and multiple play areas means there’s something for kids of all ages.
Half court too, so bring a ball for older kids
Great playground with good children facilities. Needs more undercover areas though as a little rain left us needing to leave as there was no where to shelter
I like it. I go here with friend and sometimes we bring dog and sometimes dog pees on grass. Would rate 10/10. Would do again.
Nice spacious reserve with tennis courts, oval and playground.
A few undercover table and chairs. Clean accessible toilets. Shaded by beautiful gum trees
Still a great grassed reserve and fantastic tennis courts, but some recent changes to the soft fall in the playground (replacing synthetic softfall with bark chips and sand) have created a less inviting atmosphere from a parental perspective, as it creates far more post-play cleanup.
This place has amazing playground but the sand does not attract adults. When you get home, the parents have to empty all of the bloody sand out of the child's shoes. Also, my friend fell off of the equipment and inhaled so much sand and had to vomit and gag. You think bark is bad? Sand is worse physically and mentally. Also, the BBQ's rarely work and they always turn off in mid heat. They have very low heat and they need to be fixed. I don't mean to sound like a "Karen" but guys, you seriously need to update your facilities. Apart from all of that the swings are very fun to play on.
Great park. Clean toilets. Disabled toilets available. BBQ clean. Only trouble is the gravel path leading to the seats, it's not wheelchair friendly.
Balmoral Reserve is on Balmoral Rd and between Vingara Dve + Kanangra Rd, Derancourt. The bbq + toilets r clean+ neat. Tennis courts + playground welcome children to play. This reserve is a credit to the Council and a good place for family to come. Large gum trees provide shade.
Picnic tables, a toilet and large playground suitable for a range of ages. Plenty of parking and trees for shade.
Lots of spaced out shaded picnic tables with easy viewing of the play ground are. Very clean toilet facilities close to playground.
Nice park. Lots of facilities! Took star off coz sand is slipping hazard. So not only do the kids get sand in everything, also grazes from slip on the hard surfaces with sand on it!
Good local option. Very popular and often has a number of events on at any one time. The local council has obviously spent a fair bit upgrading the facilities and was spot on in doing so. Close to shops in case you forget something.
Really great place for a bbq/picnic. Bbq is clean, clean toilets and playground facilities with basketball goal. Plenty of shade and tennis courts.
