Balfours

Once upon a time the Balfour's pie was the best the chicken pie was so yummy and so were the custard tarts. I haven't had Balfour's for years, tried today and it was the worst tasting pie I have ever had let alone the custard tart that was so undercooked it was floury. No wonder it's been sold off. Never again.

Had a Balfours chicken pie about 2 weeks ago still recovering from a severe Canpylabactor virus from it didn’t taste right at the time I probably should have bined it lets hope the new owners have stricter hygiene standards

I was saying months ago balfours will fall I've been proven right how can balfours charge $4: 80 for a pie pasties or sausage roll news tonight said sales have dropped and only going to get worse balfours made its bed now soon lie in it. Now selling to San remo my advise to adeliade people ban balfours forever

Once San Remo took over Balfours that was the final nail on the coffin for alot of their products. They completely destroyed the Kitchener Bun. It's a hit and miss whether the bun is even fresh and if it is then the cream (best part) is off. Before San Remo took over I never had a problem with the kitchener bun, in fact I could even leave half of it for the next day to eat and it still tasted fresh unlike today. I will never ever buy another product from them. They took a good name and tainted it. Balfours was better to go bankrupt rather than be taken over from a pasta company that can't even make good pasta, but wants their fingers in every pie and end result a good name completely ruined. Not the first time san remo has brought out other companies only to have past owners very upset their good name going down the hill by cheap changes to the product after all its all about the money.

The flavor was bad, no taste at all, the meat was poor quality with grits in it which I nearly threw up

The days are gone when Balfour's was so delicious. Every product was Agrade. Now its tasteless, shrinked and not very fresh.

I feel the quality of this wonderful meat pie has gone down over the last few yrs. I used to love them. I loved the meaty gravey with bits of meat they used to have. Now they taste like a bland grave. Dissapointing. Although all the other products are good

Balfours doughnuts and sausage rolls are the bomb. The only other thing I eat from bakeries as such are Mrs macs sausage rolls when I can't get balfours. No other brands. And no other bakery items.

Food is rubbish. Tasteless and full of gravy, no meat in the meat pies. Balfours had been going downhill rapidly over the years and now that San Remo own them it's even worse.

Bit disappointed that Balfours has decided to stop making the vegie Indian pasty. It's literally the only product of theirs that I eat since I'm vegetarian. I refuse to eat the plain vegetarian pasty that they make because of how bland it is! No flavour! Bring back the vegie Indian pasty!

I used to work here temporary. I guarantee that this company consider hygiene a lot for the customer.

Balfour Cornish party pasties are a dangerous health hazard. In two of the pasties l discovered razor sharp pieces of bone. Whats happened to the good OLD Balfours?

Grabbed a packet of 4 Balfours plain meat pies, to try a new brand. The flavour was disgusting. I will not try any products by this company again.
If you can't make a plain meat pie taste good I will not risk my money and have to throw away inedible slop

Ive had two different not so pleasent expeiriences with balfours products recently if they are going to make things like spinnach and cheese and cheese sausage rolls and indian pasties they should be in a different colour packet

Had some party pies tonight, and I was quite surprised. I think they should be called gravy pies. Only 20% meat! That's the least amount of meat ever in a pie that I have ever had.

This company has gone from great to sad
the adelaide "icon" frog cake is so overpriced that no one stocks them in quantities of more than four if your lucky!
ring up the company an they fall over backwards to tell you no one in adelaide has more than four in stock at a time, and NO! We won't sell our products to you from a factory outlet, we might actually have a business that will make money!
Oh if you want a large quantity give us 2 days notice we are busy not making a profit
