Bahn Kubo Restaurant

We were visiting Nelson and decided to go for a birthday trip to Mt. Gambier, had lunch at the Bahn Kubo restaurant and wow what a good choice that was. First the friendly lady at front of house was fantastic, the food came quick in about 10 minutes of sitting down. We had the 3 choices meats, BBQ pork, crispy pork and duck, omg we both loved it, also had the black pepper prawns which were equally delicious and tried the Phad Thai. The lemon, lime and bitters drink was really refreshing as well. We both highly recommend this restaurant. 10/10.

It is one of the best customer service. Actually, we liked the noodles, and it's better taste than fried rice.

My husband and I (from VIC) are visiting the town and we decided to spend our dinner here. We are lucky that the place wasn't so busy on a Friday, and we got our good spot. Foods are awesomely delicious! Service is superb! We didn't wait long for the food coz we understand how Asian foods are prepared. The place is spacious for family dining as well. Good lightings which is a plus.
Love the Korean chicken, and chef's 3 choices. We highly recommend! And thank you for such great food and services

The staff didn’t allow us to drink from the sealed packaged water bottle that we carried with us because apparently they it’s against their business policy.

Everything was awesome, First time felt like a great service at a restaurant after long. Very nice n hot food and they were flexible to customise some of the dishes to our needs. We had the noodle dishes and all were much to our expectations.

Delicious Thai food! We can see why it is one of the highest rated restaurants in Mount Gambier. The Tom yum soup, Tom yum fried rice, green curry and roast meats were great! Very generous with the prawns in all dishes. We would be happy eating this anywhere!

Food was absolutely awful. The fried rice was like it was soaked in water, wet and tasteless.
Crispy pork was just 'okay'.
Sweet and sour pork taste like it had a Masterfoods sweet and sour sauce poured over the pork and veg.

Spent $88 and left majority of the food behind. Ended up buying fast food on the way back to our motel.

Gentleman who served us was really nice and enthusiastic.

Wouldn't go back!

Would be some of the best Thai i have ever had. The service was fast friendly and the food was even better. I recommend the crispy pork and the duck over all 10 out of 10

Some of the most beautiful food I have ever tried and fast! The duck was my favourite with a close second being won by the pork belly! The service from the staff here was amazing 10/10!

I've live in Australia nearly 7 years looking always for nice food, myself also used to cook for a living, so i know and love food.
I must say, This restaurant is the best of best, i cried on their food, there is no word enough for what i experienced at this little place in an unknown countryside.
Mt Gambier people must know they are the happiest in the world with this restaurant.
It was my great pleasure that i found this place on my way of traveling across Australia.
I still think about their food often, there is no doubt their food is incredible, i swear i would've gone to this place every single day if i lived there

Please everyone should try, their food made me cry, i literally "CRIED" walking out of the restaurant.
I sincerely hope that i can visit this place.

Great hospitality. Waiter was very welcoming and friendly.
Food was great! However, I find the egg noodles tasteless and felt that it should come served with soy gravy or at least some seasoning. And the tofu’s peanut sauce was not that great. I would prefer it to be sweet and spicy. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner and worth the price. I highly recommend.

Just had a fabulous dinner here. Thank you for accomodating us as last minute booking. I tell you, this place is really aware with covid restrictions and you could find hand sanitizer even on every table they have. The service was great but waited for the food was a bit long. Overall we are happy because of the delicious food. The location is in the heart of Mount Gambier so it’s very easy to find and park beside the street too. We will come back!
