78We are looking at replacing our pergola and decided to get three quotes. We were upfront with each company and have had no issues with the other two quotes. Alex from Australian Outdoor Living came today and didn't even bother to give a quote if we weren't prepared to commit today. Apparently they are a very busy company and they haven't got time to come back for a second appointment. If this is how rude they are when they come to give you a quote how bad is their service once you commit? We won't be finding out!
I had a sales rep visit before Christmas to talk about roller shutters. My main aim is to help control heating and cooling and reduce power bills.
He explained the whole process and product really well, and I decid to go ahead.
Installation was about 3 weeks later and I'm so glad I did. The white shutters match the white windows, and I'm already seeing the benefits with not having to run the aircon all day in Adelaide's summer weather.
Very very happy.

Gordan the installer was friendly and efficient, arrived early which was fantastic. The electrician, Liam arrived, did the wiring and noted there was an issue with the wrong WiFi hub being supplied. Attempted to contact the office and unable to get through initally. Liam the went back to the office to swap it over whilst waiting for a call back. Fantastic time management, he went out of his way to ensure had the right hub and software for the WiFi. 100% satisfied with all parties involved and entire process. Thankyou AOL.
I see other people have had issues with artificial lawn & pavers. My mum was meant to have pavers 3 sides of her artificial lawn. The excuse was Rep measured wrong, however by the quote the Rep measured correct. They were happy not to offer my mum a pensioner a refund. On visiting the office they offered a minimum $305 refund which took 2 weeks to receive. Buyer beware if quoted for pavers!
Have no idea about their own products and give incorrect advice. Communication is poor and several mistakes made during installation. Avoid at all costs. Useless.
Outdoor blinds had to be replaced three times due to these mistakes. Was advised to not get a rangehood for my outdoor kitchen, but had to spend thousands more when their kitchen did not comply with regulations without it.
After sales service is terrible. Still waiting for them to show up to replace a broken part 2 days later. Now they won't even answer there phone.
A premium price for a mediocre job for the artificial lawn that was installed. Firstly I was charged for a road registered skip that was required to be parked on the road and told that I would be reimbursed the difference in price for a regular skip and given the arrangement in writing which I never received.even after calling after the installation, still no refund. Contractors said skip on road was too dangerous for them so was parked in my driveway on the otherside of my house (defeating the extra cost of the road registered skip) which resulted in contractors wheeling barrows of dirt and dolemite through my house. AOL instructed contractors to have dolomite dumped on the main road with no regard to their safety.a complete joke which I'm sure workplace services would be interested in! Contractors said no. Contractors were supposed to do a little paving which was left uneven which I had to fix myself to the best of my ability. 1 side of my lawn is 3 inches higher than the other side over a distance of 4 meters. Weeds growing through the turf within 2-3 weeks. Turf feels uneven in places. Still waiting on my refund. I'm sure AOL are quite happy with the fact they have screwed over a pensioner. Quick to take your money though. Waiting for their generic reply to this feedback, and no I won't be contacting them again. Not worth the headache dealing with them. Buyer beware!
Avoid these lying snakes like long grass on hot summers days!
Within only a few months weeks started growing through the artificial turf and it started to sink and form craters as the ground was not compacted properly.
These amateurs use contractors that don’t care and their customer service is appalling.
They never return calls and only want your hard earned money!
Apparently it is our fault that these jerks never done the job properly…
I wouldn’t bother with Australian Outdoor Living you’ll be left with only headaches and have to redo the entire job correctly!

Worst company yo deal with. Avoid this company if you can. Very unprofessional. Doesn’t look like they know what they are doing including manager, quote giving guys and production manager.
They did a contract for artificial grass and took deposit and took personal detail and cancel the contract after one month because they said they can’t to the job they promised. They should not take the job if they are not capable of doing it. And they took a while to refund my money back. Just waste of time

We have recently had a number of shutters fitted to our house. We decided to go with Australian Outdoor Living and we were not disappointed. Right from the very start when we had a lovely fellow called Micky come out and do the measure up for us, we found him helpful, friendly and very competent. Within a few days we had Brian come and do a second measure up to make sure everything was just right. When Brian came to do the actual fitting of the shutters, he worked solidly from early morning until 6pm the same day. We were also impressed when we received a text from Brian to let us know he would be a few minutes late. The Electricians who came out (Patrick and Tom) were competent, friendly and helpful and worked solidly while they were here. We are very happy we decided to go through this company and would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone considering having shutters fitted. They were excellent. Great work guys!

Michael Lawrence was our salesperson but I should say he was more a customer service representative…he was not pushy at all. His knowledge on his own product and his great attitude won us over. He cares about the customer more then making a quick sale, you will definitely get the right product your home shopping with Michael. If your looking for a premium product and to really understand what your purchasing then ask for this guy!
Unlike our first outdoor blind provided by Aus Outdoor Living 18 months ago, the second one is saggy, rouched and creased. I have spent a week or more trying to get personnel to A/ take my calls AND B/ turn up to assess the problem. After sales service so far is disgraceful. Still waiting to hear back from them, but will persevere.
So further to Emily’s response below where I am assured she will follow the matter up personally…. I provided all details requested. 3+ weeks on and I have heard nothing from Emily. Just received a short email from someone called Alex, saying they have referred the matter back to SA staff. The same staff who have already declined to address the issue. This is appalling after sales service.
We recently had a pergola installed by AOL and could not be happier.
If you want a company to actually come out, sit down and have a conversation about your build/requirements do not go past this business. Alot of other companies I contacted were reluctant to even provide a written quote or have an in person meeting.

Couldn't be more happier with my pergola. Easy to deal with and was all complete relatively quick.

We had a pool installed over 2 years ago and have endless issues with it
The installation was not done correctly and the pool equipment is always coming out of calibration due to this installation

Roller shutters installed, motor stopped working after 2 months, also was told some slats needed replacing and they would order them, rang 2 months later, never ordered them, then didn’t turn up twice to change the slats, rocked up once and had the wrong size. Would never use them again… never even gave us any discount or voucher or anything for countless stuff arounds on there behalf
I am so happy with the artificial turf, that got layed in my backyard, it feels so good to walk on and my dog love's it. ️
Michael Franze visited us today to issue us with a quote for roller shutters on the front of the house. The process was very informative with him being so passionate about the quality, design, production process and the fact they are an SA owned and operated business. When it came to supplying a quote Michael was very open in the negotiation process and we have ended up with a fantastic offer being issued to us which we have accepted. I strongly recommend Australian outdoor living.
Had a leaking verandah, so had a quote from Australian Outdoor living to replace old one. Verandah is good but still leaking. Try to get help but always told managers not available. Not happy as where told we would have a non leaking verandah. Can't get into that email, is this a joke
