The gardens are huge and have a massive range of plants for all the different arid land areas of Australia. So many birds, drive out to the Red Cliff lookout and stand where Matthew Flinders stood. Cafe, toilets, kids play area.

Must visit in Port Augusta. Its free and very well maintained and setup is absolutely perfect. Plenty of wildlife in the area including trees and shrubs from all over Australia. The park is best explored on foot but can also be driven through on the outside main trails. Park is divided into sections representing different areas and climates of Australia. There are number of lookouts here that are within short walk of one another. Gets really hot in summer so best explored early in the day or in the evening. Visitor centre has a decent cafe that serves hot food and meals. There is also a souvenir shop within the visit centre including amenities.
