Atelier Crafers reviews
33 As a family, we shared a light lunch at Atelier Cafe. The atmosphere was lovely. There were wonderful art displays and craft items for sale that created interest in our group.
Service was fine, albeit a little slow, and the food was okay. Maybe a tad overpriced for what one gets, (see attached images).
Parking was an issue. One needs to either park in the very small carpark at the rear of the cafe or in the tennis club carpark. Then one must walk around to the front of the cafe along the narrow road.
Parking for the disabled is directly in front of the door. It is a bit tight getting into the right spot to unload walkers and the somewhat immobile guests. One then needs to back out onto the road and park at the rear.
Very concerned to see that a staff member who was placing salad onto plates was using her fingers to do so.then was witnessed nibbling food, fingers in mouth and then back to serving. Tomatoes were cut up, again use of fingers observed in placing onto toasted sandwiches - no gloves, no tongs were used. Staff member left kitchen briefly returned and used sanitiser before again using her chemical laden fingers to place salad onto plates. Very off putting and would not choose to eat here again.
Just be aware before booking and paying for their Art workshops that you have NO recourse for refund, partial refund or a credit if you happen to come down with Covid or other illness and do the responsible thing and stay home. They don't even respond. Pretty poor all round with a Pandemic still active. But I guess that Govt assistance didnt teach them much about being understanding in turn. No. I do not recommend you book their art workshops in advance.
Love this coffee shop/cafe/restaurant. Always really friendly staff and good coffee. Lots of good art to look at and if your inclined buy, also lots of knick-knacks, cards and other interesting pieces to browse. I think the fact that this place always has a lots of customers and very frequently only a couple of free seats, often none by the fireplace speaks volumes.
Will definitely be back.
What a delightful place in lovely surroundings to have a delicious lunch. The gallery is wonderful. The food delicious and all at a very reasonable price. I have been here on a number of occasions and found it to be consistent in quality, ambience and lovely warm, welcoming staff.
A very special place.full of a unique atmosphere of peace, piano music and fab arts and crafts.i really enjoyed my haloumi salad and wicked choc sweet. The chai was excellent. And me and my friend Albert could hear each other.a rarity in hospitality these days.cant wait to bring my 91 yr old mum in for a special lunch. I know she will lov it.including the SPECCY architecture!
One of the best cafes in Adelaide!
Tucked away so easy to miss. But once I found it I instantly became a regular customer!
Great coffee! But what makes this place such a gem is the customer service of the amazing and wonderful staff!
Ambient setting, this Cafe is also an art gallery!
Such a wonderful place to chillax and read a book!
If you haven't been here already, your simply missing out!
Excellent coffee and gorgeous individually crafted jewellery, art and gifts on display. Re-purposed teaspoons are amazing!
Beautiful out of the way cafe. A real gem.
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable on the various coffee's, tea's etc
Kind and attentive staff served a magnificent two course lunch. Fresh ingredients. Quiet atmosphere, nice background music. So relaxing!
The atmosphere, food and service is always amazing. Nothing better than sitting in amongst the gifts and artwork available for sale in front of the fire while enjoying a nice snack, vino or meal. I visit a lot! Thanks Ros and team. ️
Always pleasing with good coffee and food. Nice place to be but currently busy.so book for lunches or you may be disappointed.
Great coffee. Delightfully light apparatus quiche. Warm modern decor and an adjoining art gallery/gift shop to browse after coffee.
This place is amazing! Beautiful interior and outdoor seating. They sell a huge amount of local art work and crafts. What a wonderful way to promote local artists! I spent ages looking around. There is a huge selection. The food cabinet offered vegan and gluten free options. Even the bathrooms in this establishment was beautiful and clean. It is on a hill but there is one disabled park at the front, and a car park up the hill around to the left. The coffee wasn’t and and they had soy milk. I will be back with friends and family. Thank you =)
More than just a cafe! I love this place. Great light meals and coffee that are very reasonably priced. It is wonderful to see a business stocking beautiful locally crafted products and upstairs is a fantastic art gallery. Highly recommend the short drive up the freeway.
Lots of ambience, good food & coffee a shame they don't have decaffeinated tea. Lots of beautiful art work and gorgeous little knickknacks.
A lovely cosy place to while away an hour or two on a cold, wet hills day.especially right by the fire. Great coffee and cake too!
Lovely place, excellent atmosphere and the live music was perfect. Lots of delicious GF options as well.
Wonderful food and sweets. Friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful music on Sunday afternoon. 4 of us furst-timers were quite impressed. Coffee ok.
Awesome. Beautiful cafe. We enjoyed lunch and some drinks. Wonderful service and superb food. The artwork is interesting too. Beautiful upstairs and downstairs spaces to sit, drink, eat and hang out. We will be back!
