Ashton Hills Vineyard reviews
26We love Ashton Hills Vineyard pinot noir and this was an opportunity to visit after many years. The cellar door is very cute and cosy. Indoor and outdoor seating options (weather permitting). The guided tasting was exceptional (thanks Isaac!) If you're peckish they offer build your own platters as well.
Very lovely cellar door, vineyard, and wines. Situated on the highest side of the Picadilly Valley, it is so great for flavoursome wines. The range of Pinot wines with great character is like nowhere else I have tried. Staff friendly and knowledgeable, creating a memorable winery experience.
Rustic corrugated iron shack, with a beautiful outlook. Tasty wines, especially their chardonnay, which was the best we've had so far in Australia, crisp light and fruity. The pinot noir was complex, chocolate and liquorice flavoured. Great rainy afternoon spent here. Note to self to come back in November to try the riesling!
Flawless wines, and exceptional service. What's not to love? Liza and the team make you feel extremely welcomed and the great customer service is never lacking even when they get busy. Not to mention some of, if not the best Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays produced in the SA if not Australia.
Had the best last part of the day, on the back lawn on the Wagon! Which will now be our go to spot and now our go to winery. Thanks to Leesa, Lisa, Leeza or liza minnelli which ever spelling it is (the most incredible worker there alongside the funny guy who had to put up with me and the different shades of red, that made the atmosphere and the reason why we are coming back.)
Can’t wait to be back for the wine and Leesa! Keep Ashton Hills and Keep Leesa.
Nice wines, only a bit disappointed that after buying some wines, I still got charged for the tasting.
Go for the Pinots, stay for the hospitality. A beautiful cellar door in Adelaide Hills with a view that never gets old and an energetic dog to welcome you. One of the quaintest cellar doors in and around Adelaide, with an excellent selection of Pinot Noirs.
Been in a couple of times and always had a great experience. Wines are fantastic, particularly their vast range of Pinots. Great outlook over the vineyards and a cute little pup running around definitely adds to it. Tasting fee is reasonable for the amount served. Mitch was fantastic and very knowledgeable
Great friendly service. Very informative and impressive selection of wines. Catered my kids with colouring in and juices. Thanks guys for a great visit. I will certainly enjoy my wines
The best, most down-to-earth and friendly cellar door staff, a delicious platter, a beautiful view and one of the best pinot noirs I have ever tasted. Bought a case and now I need more.
Awesome pinot noir and a couple of friendly dogs to keep you company during the tastings! We will be back on our next visit to Adelaide
Fantastic wines, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a gorgeous location. Our dog Shiloh was welcone too
Great tasting experience. $10 for 6-7 wines. Redeemable for 2 bottles purchased. Very nice wines, a few 94+ Halliday ratings. We were on the outdoor special table which was actually nice
Lovely wines. Great outlook over the hills and valleys. Rustic. Friendly, obliging and informative staff. Hidden away. Recommend to book in for a tasting and make your own platter up.
The Pinot Noir and the Riesling are both lovely. Beautiful setting at the northern end of the Piccadilly Valley. Well worth including in your tour of Adelaide Hills wineries.
Both wine waiters were welcoming and knowledgeable. Wines delicious with 2 reds that could be cellared for 7 plus years to peak. Loved the little doggy and tasting room- so homely.
Liza has been amazing and we loved our wine tasting experience there. Lovely wine accompanied with super friendly and knowledgable staff member
My wife really liked it. Such an excellent surprise to find a wonderful Pinot Noir winery in Shiraz country!
A fantastic experience thank you, brilliant wines, great passion and expertise. Loved it. Liza is 100% amazing!
Beautiful view with amazing wine selection. Lisa who who looked after us was so friendly and knowledgeable, such a memorable experience.
