Dinner at @aroimodernthai from like a month or two ago: absolutely fantastic Thai food with very friendly service! There are so many new Thai restaurants that have popped up over the last year or so, but this place is really delicious if you're looking for a modern Thai restaurant, and not too fussed or strict about only traditional Thai food.

Crispy chicken wings - Deep-fried winglets, full flavour dried seasoning with Thai herbs aroma: perfectly fried chicken wings! Can't go wrong with these.

Son in law eggs - Deep-fried boiled eggs, pickled berries, fresh herbs with crispy shallots: nicely done, pretty standard.

Chargrilled prawns and pomegranate salad - SA king prawns, b&w fungus, kohlrabi, fresh herbs with chili jam & lime dressing: these prawns were super tasty! Such good flavours.

Massaman curry lamb shank - Slow cooked lamb shank, chili, fresh herbs, massaman gravy with potato wedge: the lamb was really tender and falls apart super easily. The flavours were spot on! Not overly spicy.

Green curry beef rib - Slow cooked beef short rib, pea eggplant, apple eggplant with Thai basil & green curry: this giant beef rib was amazing - so tender!

Moo hong - Slow cooked pork belly, broccolini, gailan, pickled mustard green with red chilli vinegar: very tasty dish. The pork was juicy and soft!

Pad thai - Thin rice noodle, chicken, egg, tofu, beansprout, shrimp floss, garlic chives w tamarind sauce: nicely done Pad Thai with lots of wok flavour!

Taro-Takoh - Sago, Pandan, jackfruit, taro and coconut mousse with pineapple sorbet: such a nice way to end the meal. Not too sweet. Good pandan flavour.

Great dinner experience and lovely cocktails. Salt and pepper squid, baked wild barramundi in banana leaf are all outstanding dishes.
Everything came out super fast and the staff were delightful.
Will back again to explore more on the menu.

The food was Thai style, they are all absolutely tasty and well presented. Great atmosphere and perfect service. The staff were attentive and friendly.
The curry crab and salt and pepper squid are very excellent.
Perfect place for a date night or special events highly recommended. Will come back again!

Great food, modern Thai menu, friendly service but really we mean Jamie, she makes a mean cocktail, ask about the Jamie Bond special, it’s got (fire) balls

Really nice atmosphere. Not a lot of vegetarian/vegan options but what they have available is quite nice.

We booked a table for 4 on Sunday night. We asked for a bottle of wine as soon as we arrived.we ended up recieved the wine after the meals arrived to the table.very small menu selection and over priced. Very small portion and I didn't find foods were tasty and authentic Thai as I'm Thai chef myself and the staff need improve the service

Food tasted good, however for the price, it was not worth it. Portions sizes are quite small. Waited an hour and a half for food, for some of the food to not come out.

Went a couple of weeks after they opened. It was 3 of us and we had the squid, fried rice, the barramundi, chicken wings and a few cocktails. The food was amazing the squid was spicy and everything was flavorful.

Very beautiful place, nice vibe, friendly stuff, plus the unreal tastes of the food will bring your experience to another level! Must try!

Was here last night, didnt booked in but FOH Manager did tried her best to fit us in eventhough the restaurant was really busy. Service was excellent, food was nice worth money, love Jamie's mocktail is the best. Highly recommend

Absolutely outstanding, delicious, mind blowing food! The most highlight dish is the seafood special of the day for Yellow Chilli Curry Crab. Defiantly come back again and highly recommended.

We had a lovely dining experience! The food and cocktails were delicious and the presentation was really nice.

The betel leaf prawns, baked wild barramundi in banana leaf, and the green curry (paired with the roti bread) are a must. All portioned generously and full of flavours.

Love this place! We went for lunch and the atmosphere was really nice and the staff were so accommodating and friendly.
We had the Pork Skewers with Sticky Rice, Tom Yum Fried Rice, Basil Squid Stuffed with Prawn Mousse, Massaman Curry Lamb Shank & finished off with their Taro-Takoh dessert!
All the dishes were presented so beautifully with so much attention to detail. The stuffed squid had the best sauce and the massaman lamb shank was sooo tender. Overall, the pork skewers with the sticky rice was my favourite so I’ll definitely be back for more of those!
