If you are a first time visitor to the lake and the weather is bright and it's summer then a walk up to here is probably worth it.
Good exercise.
The most beautiful blue lake I've ever seen! Has to be seen to be believed with just how blue this is. A must go to when visiting Mt Gambier!
Just one of the lookouts around the lake. Use the underpass to get there you won't be disappointed.
This is so true to be amazing. The cobalt blue lake makes you wonder how scenic the nature can be.
There are good views from other spots around the creator, take the opportunity to walk around.
Such a pretty spot! Lots of different areas to view it from. Totally get why they call it "The Blue Lake", it certainly was a beautiful blue.
Spectacular lake. Best view of colour is on a sunny day, preferably afternoon. Took some research to find out why the lake is so blue, it's not described on any of the info boards.
Great view of the famous Blue Lake. Apparently it's more Blue in Summer, it certainly lived up to its reputation and was very beautiful.
Beautiful. If you come to Mt Gambier you must stop here. You can top up your water bottles at the same time from free water dispenser
Wonderful walkways and various lookouts surroundings Blue Lake. Dog friendly area, well worth stopping.
Unfortunately Blue Lake wasn't very blue today. Need to go a certain time of year and not at the start of Winter. Still pretty though.
Beautiful views of an amazing natural feature, Blue Lake. Although there are some equally fantastic views at a number of spots around the lake
Great lookout, clean and maintained, it would of been good for 2 trees blocking the main view to be cut down but all good.:)
This is the lookout for the fisherman at the bay, they check the water conditions down to the left and it will give an indication of the sea conditions!
Great lookout and steps to the beach. Look out for seals or whales at the right time of year. Walk from here through to the lighthouse and see how the other half live on the way
The most spectacular cobalt Blue Lake on earth! Unedited - A natural wonder; so pleasing to the naked eyes.
This is worth the walk up from the car park, though be warned it gets very steep for some sections. Make sure you bring a bottle of water.
The Best Time to Visit Blue Lake is Summers in Australia as h will able to see the water exact blue whereas in winters due to rainy weather it seems to be like greyish!
Well maintained, good signage and local information. Amazing views. Good range of well maintained exercise equipment in the park. Cafe with toilets at the bottom of the park/lookout
