I'm always a fan of a walk at Anstey Hill, with many trails of various difficulties and lengths on offer. Lots of wildlife around in the evening, great spot to see some kangaroos. Just don't get locked in the car park!

As i walking along North East Road i came across Anstey Hill Park! This is a must visit if you love walking with family and friends! Such a beautiful recreation park with wildlife and you are sorrounded by australian nature. Walk along the Quarry walk road or choose your own track: stunning views and tranquillity and keep an eye out for Kangaroos/Koalas as they live here.
I started at Gate1 and there was toilets which are well kept. On your way out of the Park have lunch at The Gully Bistro or head down to St Peters Bakery.

You can't go wrong with a hike at ansteys hill. There are a range of different hikes you can choose from, but they are all good.

Awesome trekking with a lot of birdlife and roos. The kangaroos have become accustomed to human activity and don't just skip away at first sight. It's easy to get a photograph of them. Depending on where you start, parking should be mostly available. It's quite a nice walk for any level, as there's different tracks.

Absolutely amazing trail. Did not expect to see any wildlife but within the first 10 minutes had many different birds and even kangaroos! Was lovely and so many wild flowers gives it a perfect scenery.

One of my favourite walks to do with my dog. Every time we have gone we have found another trail to walk and we always see kangaroos!

Absolutely love going to Anstey Hill for at least a 2 hour beautiful scenic walk with my friends. We regularly meet there and at this time of the year the weather is perfect for walking and looking at the wonderful greenery

Absolutely love hiking and riding here. Would be 5 stars if the mtb trails were maintained. The nature and views are amazing. Went down Wildside recently and nearly KO'd myself as the trail is stuffed. Wildside probably needs some extra signage as to how dangerous the trail is. Fallen down trees over the trail and washed out etc.

Great place to go walking, with nice wide paths.
Great views of the city and suburbs. Early morning or evening is a good time to spot wildlife
Could use a bit more signage on some of the trails.
It would be handy having toilet facilities nearby and possibly a drink fountain

Great views of the city and northern suburbs. Good walking tracks and we saw a koala. 5km circuit used for Parkrun every Saturday morning, includes the Torture Track - so steep that walking up it is difficult, let alone running! Great suburban national park.

Nice hiking trail where you can take your dogs. Has different treks with pretty good directions along the way. Normally we take the yellow tail hike is relatively easy and roughly 6kms.

Wildside DH is an amazing trail for the more experienced mountain biker (and it's hardtail freindly). If you have good technique and strong nerves you can get real fast on this trail. Also love the native plants surrounding the trail. There are other trails more suited to beginners, but the downhill trails are by far the most fun.

Downhill tracks get the ol ticker pumping, best fun you can have with pants on. Especially on a hardtail.

Absolutely beautiful, lovely to see some heritage dotted along the tracks and to see the view of the TTG area.

Fantastic place for a hike. Pick your route, short, long and anything inbetween. There's one thing that I can guarantee though, you'll get a work out. It's all up. But the views are worth it. There's old ruins, kangaroos, koalas and lots of interesting fauna. Anstey is also a good place to bring your mountain bike if that tickles your fancy.

Really good walk, lots of choices in how hard the walk is worth many different gradients. So much diversity in what you can see and experience. A 40 minute walk up a slight incline to a goal track over a ridge. Lovely views both within and from the park. Highly recommended

Beautiful place to spot koalas, kangaroos, rabbits, butterflies lizards and if you are verry lucky Echinaceas.

There is a large collection of various tracks to suit varying abilities and distances (not all in involve steep gradients!), that can be accessed from a multitude of gates in the lower areas. The park itself is great, plenty of kangaroos, koalas, native birds and wrens, and lovely fresh bush fragrances from the gum trees. Highly recommend a visit whether you’re coming to get/stay fit or just for leisure and the scenery!
