Best steak in town and probably for miles around.
Ordered the 500g steak, done to perfection.

Not worth the most expensive slice of steak in the menu.it’s thin and doesn’t look the 250g it alludes to be. Worse, its nearly well done. Meccas can do a better job!

Absolutely stunning place with the best steak you could eat it's a little pricey but you definitely pay for quality and perfectly polite and helpful staff keep it up

Dropped the ball on service and quality of food also staff were a bit disorganised had to wash spoons and only bought 2 of 3

Staff were beautiful. Our meals were takeaway.
Beef parmi, salmon and apple pie. Everything done to perfection. Just a bit too much salt on my chips. Thanks again

Had Angus porterhouse cooked well done, delicious. Couldn't eat it all as filling had with bernaise sauce.

Why call yourself a steak house if you can't even cook a rare steak? Had to send the steak back twice! Walked out hungry and very dissatisfied!

Service was ok. Food was nice but I wouldn’t rate more than 3 stars. Nothing special and a bit pricey for what you get.

Went there for tea last night. Was seated at 6.45pm. Orders takrn around 7ish and then waited for nearly an hour for dinner.
A bit disappointing on the wait time other than that, food wasnt too bad.

Service was alright but food wasn't that good, they made everything really salty. Too expensive for what u get

We were travelling through Port Pirie and looked to see if there was any offers in the Entertainment book. This restaurant was listed so we had dinner here and it was the best meal we’ve had in the 18 days that we’ve been on the road. We both had the Atlantic Salmon with crispy potatoes, hollandaise sauce, broccolini and Cos lettuce fried. We had Halloumi for entree which was delicious. Flavours were 10/10! Located in a quiet street with easy parking. The staff were very friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Good meals and good service. Staff were attentive and food came out in a timely manner. Parking both on the street and out the back, restaurant is located in the motor inn.

Friday night tea out group of 4,7.00 pm waitress has taken our order, drinks in front of us all good. 15mins later waitress comes back sorry we have no steaks left. Not just our table was told the group behind us was told the same.sorry but we were not happy at all.would you like to order something else, , mm give us 5 we said but no we decided to leave very disappointed. Thank good for the sporties that were able to get a seat for us and had a meal in front of us in 10 min. Thank you sportmans tavern

Waited 1.5 hrs for our meal, we do understand there were 2 functions but would have appreciated a warning about wait for meals. House steak did not come with crispy smashed potatoes. When offered a discount for being held up, we saved $8. Will not be coming back or recommending.

Amazing food and service. Had the 5hr slow cooked steak, and that mushroom sauce is next level! Thanks guys!

Came hear when we stayed at the joined hotel, over Christmas and boxing day, OMG there food is amazing we had the B&B free breakfast with the room had the big breakfast one day that could feed 2 people and the eggs Benedict the next it was perfect, my husband had the waffles and they were to die for, love the breakfast bar you had too was a good spread of food. Didnt try the room service but will on the next stay, the cook i would love to say well done you can cook a nice feed, and the wating was a dream full of smiles, lovely experience and cant waite to come back to john pirie.
