Angas Park Hotel reviews
26Haven't been in years. Decided to go have a a meal. Hardily anyone in the bistro yet over 1 hour wait for the meals. And food came out 1 person at a time.
Great service, mustard garlic bread was yummo, fresh and crispy salad, great schnitzel.would come back!
A fantastic meal great staff. A real old fashioned pub. The way they used to be. Not over renovated so as to lose the old originality.
Went for a meal and stepped back in time old style no frills pub meal
Average and quite a wait but reasonable priced drinks eg glass red $8
Staff friendly and helpful
Only had dinner there very filling and well cooked schnitzel, hubby had the AP burger and it too was very filling. Service was good.
Great local pub, awesome selection of beverages and great food. Had a great time went there twice on my stay!
Awesome little pub, ordered the scotch fillet steak and it was cooked perfectly with a nice, rich, dianne gravy.
Sam and Pete are lovely staff, always up for a chat.
Awesome dining service from Jacinta.
Absolutely love the alcoholic ginger beer on tap, a nice crispy, cold, alternative to beer in this hot weather.
Will come again!
Quaint little pub in the heart of Nuriootpa. Front bar and dining areas. Small pokies room with 20 odd machines if that's your thing. Dinner menu is standard pub fare with Schnitzels, seafood, burgers, salads and entrees etc. Meals were reasonably priced in the $20-$30 range and very tasty. The peppercorn sauce on the schnitzels is amazing. Our waitress was also top notch despite her young age.
Beautiful historic hotel. Very friendly service. Worth a visit to check out the historical brick work and 19th century architecture. Stars for the respect of the premises and service. Would benefit from investment in TLC refurb and less focus on pokies with the right opportunity in the future. All the best for this little gem in Nuriootpa!
Enjoyed our lunch today. 50 years ago I met my now and still husband at the front bar of your hotel.it Was great to see it hasn't changed.
Thankyou for a great meal.
Top old country pub, with quality food, decent serves and good prices. Friendly staff. Cosy dining area. Definitely be going again.
Bloody Frozen chicken schnitzels! Not chicken breast but compressed chicken. Very dissapointing! Tasted revolting and upon complaint was given no response. No replacement, refund or apology. My family and I will not return!
Toilets here are in a shocking state. For all the money this pub would earn with the restaurant, pokies and bar its certainly is not spent on the up keep of the premises.
Great old pub atmosphere with the best roast lamb dinner i have had in a long time. Great pub food.
Awesome food, love the chips and chicken parmys, great staff, love having a beer with bors. Great getaway from the kids when they come round every few months.love the pool room and watching the cricket and footy for me because I'm a big ressie.
Nice friendly Pub, Tab, pokies, pool table, front bar, restaurant. What more could you wish for in a country town
Great little hotel. Never knew it was their till recently.menu reasonably extensive for COVID days.choice of large/small meals. (We had small, and still took one meal home) I took notice of the meals coming from the kitchen and couldn't criticize any. (If you truly enjoy good meals, pleasant atmosphere, little lounges to sit and talk, drink afterwards or before the meal. This is definately the place to be.
Ordered beef schnitzel came out with the wrong sauce and the staff tells me that's what I ordered very rudely anyway bring out my so called Diane sauce and it doesn't taste anything like it I mean a totally different sauce. Microwaved Veg and a plain schnitzel for dinner very poor
Really nice pub food. Good prices, large portions, decent menu. Warm cosy atmosphere. Very traditional pub feel, but with better food.
Seems the Angas Park is the pub used by the locals. The drinks were cold and the meal was nicely cooked and tasty. A Sunday night pub meal with local friends in the historic old dining room. I liked the beautifully maintained historic building and the historic photographs on the walls. The local family atmosphere makes a nice contrast to the large scale impersonal bistro up the road catering to the hordes.
