Wow! If you visit Andamooka then Dukes is a must! Peter and Margot are such welcoming and accomodating hosts. They have an amazing collection of Opal and fossils. Thanks for a comprehensive explanation of all that is Andamooka and for your warm welcoming guys!
We absolutely loved our time here! A quiet a very historical little Opal mining town, Andamooka has been one of the highlights of our trip. Whilst there are no places to eat in A, Roxby Downs is 35Km away. We stayed here for the night and we are so glad we did. The rooms are small, but very clean, extremely well kept, great shower and the bed is sooo comfortable! Margot and Peter are so welcoming and knowledgeable concerning the area and opals we enjoyed their company and a nice long chat over breakfast. If you’re in the area, stay here! You’ll love it!
Comfiest bed, Margot is one of the most interesting people we’ve had the pleasure to meet. Beautiful country and magnificent history. Be sure to schedule time for breakfast and a chat!
Its been a few years now, but I really wish I didn't order the fresh oysters! Next time I visit, I will stick with the steak and chips option
